Dr. Robert Girling, MD

I had been given the run around by several other orthopedic doctors. I had 19 treatments synvisc treatments. It felt it was time for a second opinion. I really don’t recall how I got Dr Girlingsname. I made an appointment they took 8X-rays. He came in the exam room and the first thing he said was you have been walking bone on bone. When do you want to schedule the replacement surgery? Shortly there after I was scheduled and my knee was replaced. They had me up and walking shortly after the surgery. My stay in the hospital was relatively short. PT began in the hospital, then at home. And then outpatient PT locally. I recommend Dr Girling. He is very skilled is craft!

I went to see Dr Girling related to an old injury to my knee that had become much worse. I was immediately impressed by the interaction with Dr Girling. He took the time to understand my issue, explained all options and in the end I will be having a knee replacement that I swore I would never have done. I can not adequately describe the confidence Dr Girling inspired and his ability to communicate. I have worked in the medical field all my life and I will say that this is a rarity.

Dr. Girling was very attentive when I explained to him about my knee pain and the procedures I had already been through. He was very compassionate, and took an interest in my experiences. Provides no feedback on MRI results or followup. After moving to Texas I find this is common practice in this state. So much for patient importance and care. A little more courtesy is needed.

I was very satisfied with Dr. Girling information about my knee. Recommended surgery my husband and I decided that the best thing was surgery. Dr. Girling was very friendly courteous but most of all he answers all our questions and did not limit the time he spend with us.

I was facing a total knee replacement, I wasn't ready & was told by my ortho at the time that I wasn't a candidate for a partial replacement. After meeting Dr. Girling, I completely trusted him. To my surprise he recommended a partial replacement & I said lets do it! It was the best decision ever! I had waited through 8 years of pain, injections, pain meds & after my surgery was pain free almost immediately. I was walking the same day! He was very much hands on every step of the way. I had my left knee replacement in Nov 2016 done by Dr. Girling. I highly recommend to anyone needing knee replacement to go to Dr. Girling. He will be doing my right knee replacement this year in Nov. He has such a great concern for his patients well being and is such a pleasant person.

Super Knowledgeable about all The recent literature. Helps you make an informed decision. Doesn’t just throw surgery as the first option . Takes Time to explain all treatment options . Friendly and takes his time with the patient.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Girling and his staff and they make you feel comfortable. Dr. Girling takes time to listen to questions and concerns and then explains your medical condition in simple words. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr Girling was very friendly, professional in manner and so informative of my up coming surgical procedure, in which, made me feel so relaxed and so confident of having surgery.

Dr. Girling V was very polite, courteous, caring, and compassionate. He did a very good job with my hip surgery including only making a very small incision and closing it with dermabond to complete the surgery.

All went very well with appointment, I was seen at the set time without problems and no long wait. Staff were polite and seemed interested in my comfort. Only small problem with the recommended excercises; no way to print them out so they could be used without referring to the computer.

I found you very helpful in your explanation and options given and your openness to questions.

I saw Dr. Girling for a couple of reasons. I had trouble finding someone or when I did, they wanted to rush me into the O.R. without any thought on my part. Dr. Girling isn't like that. I have a boatload of metal already in my leg; that didn't deter him at all. He saw me, talked to me and told me my only option was a total knee. He answered all of my questions and even said he could do something that no other surgeon said was possible! He made good on it too. I'll stick with him.
