Seemed pleasant enough; however, he is terribly incompetent.

Great Doctor.
My interactions with Dr Hepburn showed that he values his patient's time and wanted to get to the bottom of the issue. He was patient as I rambled about my daughters symptoms without any judgment or signs of being impatient. (Funny because looking back; some details were clearly unimportant.) He was knowledgeable with the recommended treatment and it allowed us to get back home fairly quickly.

  • Listened & answered questions
  • Appointment wasn't rushed

Fantastic doctor! He is thorough in his work ups and an experienced ER doctor! Some of these reviews are just plain ridiculous. He is an EMERGENCY physician so if he has completed your work up and determined you don’t have an acute emergency conditions, expect you will be discharged. See your primary care for non-emergent issues. ER docs don’t have time for your cold symptoms, recurrent headache, tummy aches, or mild pain. They’re busy caring for acutely ill patients and saving lives. Dr Hepbur

This guy is beyond incompetent!! He stormed off in the middle of me trying to explain what was wrong with me because i laughed at him wearing beat down yellow NIKE shoes, like a high school kid .. then told the nurses outside to let me sit in there without help. Seriously avoid this guy. Or dont just dont bruise his fragile ego.

I wish i had the time to file a complaint with the medical board on this guy....who gave him a license in the first place? very unprofessional, has serious personality issues on top of the long waiting time (staff and doc were just chatting). Lesson learned!

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE!!! He saw me at Tempe St. Lukes hospital emergency room. I had SEVERE abdominal pain, throwing up. He supposedely ran tests, told me everything was clear that it was probably something that I ate and booted me out. HAD to go to Banner and within 30 minutes of taking my blood the ER Dr. tells me they are going to have to do surgery immediately and take out my severely infected gall bladder. She told me I could have died from this.

Dr. Robert Hepburn was extremely rude. He did not ask me a single question and didn't evaluate or examine me at all before making a diagnosis. He made comments to me like I guess we'll admit you since you obviously don't want to go home and if you dont like me as a doctor I'll just discharge you I questioned his diagnosis due to my symptoms and he got defensive, stomped off like a child and yelled at the nurse to discharge me. I will never return to Tempe St. Lukes because of this doctor.
