If the patient haa dementia, find another doctor
Dr. Robert Jones is a terrible doctor. He should not take any patients with dementia or memory related issues. He has been completely unhelpful to my mother. He is very kind but appears to be completely uneducated related to dementia. When she has issues directly related to her dementia, he tells us to speak with her PCP. Her PCP has limited neurology experience therefore has to have us go back to Dr. Jones. I am switching my mother from Dr. Jones immediately.

Incompetent
My previous neurologist moved on, so this was my first time with Dr. Jones. He did no physical exam to familiarize himself with the nerve damage I have or even to get a baseline to compare to previous visits. He is a waste of time.

Nothing Added
I waited two months for this appointment. I arrive, he comes in 20 minutes late, has not looked at anything with my medical concerns, and his sight is so poor that he cannot read vital information that is in the documents that were sent with the referral. When he does not establish a plan, and I tell him, “this needs to be addressed”, he runs out of the room for the reception supervisor. I later overhear him apologize to her and state I was “hostile”, because I asked for a plan. Go to any provider but him. He should honestly probably retire.

Horrible experience
I had an 11:30 am visit that was supposed to last 20 minutes. I wasn't even seen until 12:05. When I was seen, you can imagine I'm already frustrated and I had been suffering occipital neuralgia symptoms for 2 weeks. I asked for a lidocaine injection or a trigger point injection. He said he didn't know how to do either. I asked where I can go for help and he told me I could go to the ER for those injections. Instead of wasting 4 hours in the ER to potentially get told no, I called them. They said they don't do anything like that. His bedside manner was nonexistent, he doesn't listen to you, he doesn't care if you're helped or not, if he can't prescribe you meds, there's nothing he can do. He is insanely incompetent and should not be given the title of a doctor.

He's always personable and conversational. He answers any questions I have and either addresses them or refers me to someone who can. His nurse is excellent, she takes care of anything I need .... meds, insurance, forms, information etc. Appointments are easy and office staff is great. It's actually pleasant going to a doctor's appointment.

This was the most unhelpful medical experience. He did not listen. He did a minimal examination. He seemingly walked into the room with a diagnosis in mind. Unfortunately, his diagnosis was wrong and if we had accepted his word and recommendation we would have gone down the wrong path with lack of treatment. Thankfully, we got a second opinion. Very disappointed and have no confidence in him. I am concerned about others seeing him as well. Please get a second opinion if you do.
