Dr Knight
I would highly recommend Dr Knight. My husband had a massive stroke 19 years ago I was told at that time that he wouldn't make it through the night after coming back to Maryland and seeing Dr Knight again My husband was with me for 19 more years. My husband John got excellent care from Dr Knight. When we wasn't at the office for a appointment. Dr Knight was always just a phone call away if he couldn't come to the phone at that time he always made sure as soon as possible he will call us back to see what we needed and how he could help us. Dr Knight was always very caring and tentative to my husband John throughout his illness. Also when the time came when my husband needed to have hospice come out to our house Dr night took care of that for me I will always be grateful to him for everything that he had done for my husband John all those years.

My Doctor
I have grown up with seeing Dr. Knight as my primary, he has always been a caring nice human and great doctor. A lot of the negative reviews are beyond his control. I remember I was able to call and speak with him personally. The medical field has changed mostly due to insurance companies, lawsuits etc. Dr. Knight is highly intelligent and does everything in his power to treat his patients. Those bashing him about Covid and masks may want to question: is the doctor more likely correct or are you just a little paranoid. Anyway, fantastic doc which is partly why he is not accepting new patients. I will say the NP is not the best.

Avoid
This doctor and practice have failed my father for the last time. We were suspicious he was not doing all he could multiple times, but then we saw for ourselves. Repeated Lack of care and concern for my father‘s needs and taking up to two weeks for blood results. My father saw him for decreased appetite and GI issues. The doctor failed to refer him for blood work or tests. We took him to the ER two days later and he had low sodium and confusion. We went back to Dr Knight for a follow up and they repeated the bloodwork and then 6 days later said it would take another 10-15 days for results. Two days after the follow up, my father ended up at urgent care with a UTI (bloodwork/UA) and pneumonia. (The NP at Dr Knight’s office said his lungs were clear). Just avoid them altogether.

Dr. Knight is a nice guy, but doesn't inspire a lot of confidence that he knows what he's doing. Every time I have been to see him, I have told him about symptoms I am experiencing, and almost every time, his response is "Hmm. That's weird" (direct quote), but no attempt to figure out what might be going on with me, let alone suggest any solutions. No, I take that back--I explained to him how I have developed an intolerance to drinking alcohol, and his response was, "Maybe you should stop drinking alcohol." Yep, I'd already thought of that one. The last time I had a checkup, he left the exam room in the middle of a discussion because he got a phone call from his auto mechanic. Finally, in the middle of a pandemic, neither he nor anyone else working in his office was wearing a mask or enforcing social distancing guidelines. That's not what you want to see from a health professional. Luckily, he didn't ask me to remove my mask during my checkup, or I would've walked out.

Dr. Knight has always been a great bedside manner Dr and family support but the "buck stops here" as he delegates the safety of his patients and staff to the whimsical decisions of a less than competent Office Manager who allows staff to interact between themselves and with patients repeatedly without proper social distancing and protective PPE even if there may be a patient with a compromised immune system, even with a request to wear a mask when speaking to a patient to only hear a response that during a pandemic and in contravention of CDC Guidelines the Office Manager states, "it is a personal choice". My reply, "not in a medical office".

A fine doctor who really is caring and a great guy. I trust his judgment. Another plus is always a short wait time of about 15 minutes or so. Great at explaining any issues.
