Dr. Robert Kodsi truly is following in his incredible father's Baroukh Kodsi (Former Head of Gastroenterology at Maimonides Medical Center) remarkable footsteps. Just like his father before him, Robert is a Classic Old-School Physician, a masterful Surgeon and healer; a Doctor of Wisdom, Caring and Compassion. Right from the get-go Dr. Robert put you at ease and make your feel at home. The Kodsi's including Robert's heartwarming mother and retired nurse, always treat you like family and devotes all the time you need so that you truly understand what's in store for you. More importantly easing your mind and assuring you that he will be there for you and your healing and recovery every step of the way. For almost a half-century, my parents, brothers, I-- and our entire family have been so wonderfully blessed to have the Kodsi's bestow their remarkable caring and healing upon us and grace our lives.

I used to see his father who was so calm and caring. I found Dr. Robert Kodsi I found him to be like his father in many ways. He is soft spoken, calming, gentle, caring. I would not go to any other doctor, he is the best.

I recently had a colonoscopy at Bay Parkway Surgical. The procedure was done by another doctor who I have been going to for years and trust implicitly. I was taken to a recovery area where a thin drape separated me from Dr K's patient. I could hear everything Dr K. said to him and was impressed with his calm clear unhurried explanations. I am not planning to leave my doctor but if ever I had to choose another it would be Dr Kodsi. Wish all doctors were this 'patient' with their patients!

In my review yesterday, I neglected to mention that the last thing kodsi said to my mother was, There's nothing else I can do for you at your age. And he did not say this gently or with diplomacy, or privately. But rather hurriedly and with exasperation in the waiting room. He then rushed off to his real patients whom he apologized to, for the delay. This did not however, stop him from charging her fully for the exam. Not to mislead, he did speak to her briefly in an exam room.
