I was nervous, Dr Lobel was great for my ablation
I'm 69 , I've never had any operation, never had anesthesia. I was nervous. I've had episodes of AFIB for 16 years, never last a day. I ignored them until I had a stroke after only a 20 hr episode. Dr Lobel did my ablation March 2025, the whole experience was great. I am impressed with the UVM Burlington hospital, the nurses, everyone. I had very little pain and only 3 days later I could not even feel that I had had any procedure (but I took it easy for a week anyway). So, don't be nervous, Dr Lobel and his team will do a very good job for you. (PS: I know a few other physicians in the area and they all said UVM has a great cardiology program and not to worry, they were right).

Talented EP who really cares about his patients
Dr. Lobel is a world class EP and took great care of me during my ablation procedure. He is kind and genuinely cares about his patients. Fantastic bedside manner. I would feel 100% confident in him for future procedures.

Dr. Lobel was everything you hope for when needing a doctor: skilled in surgical procedures, but also caring and approachable when you need encouragement. Heart issues can be personally frightening, but both my husband and I left our appointment feeling well informed, positive, and in good hands. He clearly cares, listens and provides support.

Dr. Lobel, and all of UVM Medical Center Cardiology have always been kind, professional, and put their patients' wellbeing first. Many years ago, I was told I would need surgery. Dr. Lobel and his team found a way for me to avoid surgery for as long as possible so that it wouldn't take me out of college. Dr. Lobel listened when I told him how I was scared of the risks associated with general anesthesia. He did everything possible to keep me as conscious as possible for as long as possible. I will never stop being grateful for how he listened, understood, and worked with me to honor my wishes for my care. The team schedules, treats, and follows up with their patients in ways that show they care. I have always trusted them with my life and can only hope to find a cardiologist like Dr. Lobel on a team as good as UVM Medical Center Cardiology.

Dr Lobel gave both my mother and I superb care for our cardiac arrhythmia problems.........care that was not provided at Albany Med or Dartmouth-Hitchcock. Dr Lobel has a terrific bedside manner and he has the knowledge, training and capability to return a person with cardiac arrhythmia problems to good health and a normal life. Highly competent and recommended.
