Im up and down with Dr. Ludwig. something good, other not good. One thing does not ever get back to you. Nurse assigned to him might get back...if you are lucky. Its obvious BW at Foxboro totally over burdened. Never knows if your are admitted, no one ever contacts his office, in this Partners systems your are on your own. Not sure he likes it, but like the rest of us it is what healthcare is now: Terrible and only getting worse.

He has put up a lot with me being in and out of the hospital and rehab for alcohol. I can’t wait to go see him in September and tell him I have a year no alcohol. He will help you any way you can just be honest with him.

After years of being healthy and active rarely needing a physician, I had a fairly serious injury requiring surgeons, specialists, rehab, etc. In contrast to so many providers I've seen, Dr. Ludwig gives the time and attention to understand what's going on and doesn't make me feel like "it's just a job" and that he can't wait to get on to the next patient..or get home. He demonstrates good medical decision making and involves me in the process. Seems to be a rare find these days. So thankful!

He entered the room and immediately asked, "ok, what's wrong?". This was my first visit with Dr. Ludwig. No hello, no introduction. I felt as if I was an inconvenience which was confirmed in the manner he asked questions and also in how he answered questions. To the point that I felt uncomfortable asking a question. Basic courtesy was lacking which portrays a lack of interest or concern. He is not my primary doctor (thankfully). Maybe I caught him on a wrong day in a wrong moment. oy!

Does not return calls. BWH automated call system takes you thru 9 levels to leave a message. Most office messages are returned by assistant apologizing that Dr. Ludwig has not returned the call.
