Dr. Robert Mandelkorn, MD

Dr. Mandelkorn, is very pleasant and caring. He takes his time with you and is thorough in learning about your possible issues to determine a resolution. I had my first visit with him in the Punta Gorda office.

I needed an emergency appointment on a Saturday. Dr M waited at his office for me and was the most compassionate doctor I’ve ever visited.

I first met him in the ER with symptoms of a torn retina. He did through examination and recommended a specialist to repair. I followed his advice and owe my vision to his care and advice. I now follow up with regular office visits for eye exam. He explains everything he finds and level of concern and what to be on the lookout for. I feel that my eye care is in very good hands with Dr. Mandelkorn. If there is no one waiting, he will often chat about related and interesting topics. He is in no hurry to get me out the door. Its like going to a highly skilled country doctor one hears about but never really expects to meet. He is the real deal. Highly recommend

Dr. Mandelkorn is the best eye doctor that I have ever met in my lifetime. He is extremely careful in evaluating his patients and even double checks his data before making conclusions. He is very friendly and cares about each of his patients. He takes his time with each patient like the "old school" doctors. He does all of the testing and evaluation himself in the office. He is truly an expert in his field.
