Very RUDE!!!!!!!!!
Dr. Marks came in telling me that my current medication is causing my GI problems. He wouldn’t even listen to me when I told him I’ve been having these problems for 5 years!! I’ve only been on current medication 1 year! He was rude when I tried to correct him. He then went on talking about “my nausea” that I DO NOT have, I didn’t bother to say anything else! When I woke up from EGD Heather RN in recovery was rude when I mentioned that I didn’t get answers!! She blurted out, “ well you haven’t given us a chance” in a rude tone! They need to realize that sick people want help and answers, not to be treated harshly!!

I never had any colon problems. I had a colonoscopy performed by Dr. Marks. Within 8hrs. after I had pains throughout the day every day that made me bend over and clinnch my lower abdomen for two weeks straight. Started having a white mucous in my stool and was sick after every bowel movement. It has been a year and I'm still having problems, but I've been doing much better the past 3 months. I give the one srar rating because at least I lived through the procedure.

Amazing, caring physician
Dr. Marks is one of a kind. He saved my husbands life & left a lasting impact on me. My husband went for a colonoscopy for some minor issues he was having. It ended up that he had a very large cancerous tumor. Dr. Marks had to tell me that my 29 year old, otherwise healthy husband and father of my 2 year old had cancer & needed his tumor removed emergently. I was alone and so scared but Dr. Marks was exactly who I needed in that moment. He was so kind, and calm, and reassuring. He prayed with me & took immediate steps to get my husband taken care of. I will always reccomend him to everyone for his compassion & thoroughness

I love Dr.Marks , I chose him as my GI doctor after my first visit with him. My daughter also like Dr. Marks. She is my contact person when I have a colonoscopy. My last 2 visit , I couldn't see him...I was told I could see his NP. I did see her, She was very nice. I had a test, it took over a week after calling asking for my results. I finally called the diagnostic center and ask them if they could mail me a copy of my results...In the meantime Dr. Marks NP called with results. I asked her a question , she gave me an answer. The next day , my results came in the mail....The question I asked and the answer the NP gave me, was not the same results as on the copy that was mailed to me...After that , I decided not to see the N P again!. That ERROR could have cause future problems for me....I still couldn't see Dr. Mark's. The next visit I saw another NP .. I had no problems with her nor the first one, other than that 1 mistake, they both were nice. I had to have an endoscopy and a colonoscopy. Dr Marks did both. He wanted to see me 6 weeks later or months I can't quite remember which it was. When I scheduled my return visit ,I expressed the fact , I wanted to see Dr. Marks..I was told he didn't see pts. every day. It was a distance date (a month or so)she said, Dr. Marks can see you on this date and time! Or you can see the NP sooner if you need to! I said no, the date and time you gave me to see Dr. Marks was fine I'll take it. The day before my appointment I called to verify my appointment time. I'm glad I did. I was told that appointment had be canceled! I asked who canceled it, iI didn't! She the asked , did no one call you?.. NO!! I was then told if I really needed to come in , I could see the NP because Dr. Marks really don't see patients anymore. He only does procedures!! I don't have a problem with seeing the NP every now & then. I know the doctors can have too many pts. and may need help..BUT, I had a procedure done that was alarming to me! I had questions. I was only given papers with pictures! I didn't know what I was looking at. The NP didn't do my procedures! I needed to talk with Dr. Marks! When I chose My doctors, it's because I like them and I trust them! I didn't want to put this on here. I couldn't get in touch with him, I don't do the portal. I needed to ask Dr. Marks questions about my procedures HE performed on me! I'm so sad ,All this happened late later part of 2023, and I still have not found me a new GI doctor. I've got to ask around , check reviews etc! I HATE THIS HAPPENED TO ME AND DR. MARKS! I liked him and trusted him and That's hard to find?? I did an earlier review raving the goodness of Dr. Marks 7 years later,I'm looking for another GI doctor. I even posted on Facebook about Dr. Marks made letting everyone know "If anyone need a GI doctor Dr. Marks is the one! I strongly recommend him.

Concern
I was on time to my appointment and paid my copay but after waiting in a small room for near 1.5 hours I couldn't see Dr Marks. Finally, the lab took some blood sample. I had to leave the clinic with a sensation that what is happenning to me is not so important. The nurse in charge was very kind. Thanks

There is no one better or more caring he saved my life! You may wait a while in the waiting room, take a book, he is worth it. He has called me after 6pm to tell me results his self. He has called from his Christmas vacation to order tests on me and I’m no one special. He is so kind. He is number one of all doctors I’ve ever seen and that’s a lot.

I have had problems with digestion for over 10 years . No one ever took time to really find out what the problem was. Although I still do not feel my best. Dr marks ordered a CT scan on my abdomen and pelvis with contrast. It showed a cyst in my pelvis area and I was told to follow up with my obgyn. He also did a endoscopy and colonoscopy. He discovered several polyps in my fundus which he removed and had a biopsy done. They were benign. Thank you dr marks!!

Dr. Marks was my mother and fathers Dr and now he is mine. You could not ask for a more kind, compassionate, attentive, professional physician. He is far beyond what you usually experience with a very heart felt, personal approach.

Dr. Marks was God sent to me. He literally saved my life twice. Once when he fixed a bile duct leakage and blockage caused by another surgeon and secondly he found a mass on my left kidney during an MRI. I was referred to a kidney specialist and had a partial nephrectomy weeks later. It was cancer. He and his staff hold a very special place in my heart.

IMO Dr Marks does not have a good bedside manner. He immediately schedules a through colonoscopy and EGD exam with only a cursory initial appointment. Dr Marks and nurses seemed rushed in the procedure room and do not explain what is about to happen to you. During my first EGD procedure, the nurse simply shoved the mouth guard in my mouth while I tried to ask a question. A lot of my friends recommended him to me but I am searching for another gastroenterologist.

Dr. Marks is a genius with a personality that makes you laugh and feel like you matter to him as an individual. He has been my GI for 22 years and I have told him he isn't allowed to retire ever. He is always my recommendation when someone needs to see a GI!
