He said 'you're fired' disrespected me.
Had pain, right side below ribs. Previous study in 2022 said I had gallstones but a recent ultrasound said gallbladder was clear. It also said 'couldn't see pancreas because of bowel gas' (the gallbladder duct travels though the pancreas to the intestine, where gallstones could be). After that ultrasound, the pain went away but I wanted to get an MRI to look for stones at pancreas area. Marcus acted like it couldn't be there and said 'you're fired'. As I was leaving, he said 'I have 14 operations before you'. If you have (after surgery) problems I hope you are not fired and somehow he has time for you. He just wanted to remove my gallbladder, nothing else.

My husband had a hernia repair done in Mexico, which failed five years later. A friend recommended Dr. Markus, and we highly recommend him. What we thought would be a simple repair turned into a four-hour surgery from what we didn't know was a botched first surgery in Mexico. There were pieces of sharp metal floating down where you definitely do t want anything sharp. Dr. Markus canceled all his other appointments and saved my husband from a very dangerous situation. Thank you, Dr. Bob!!

Honest, helpful and informative
I was concern with a hernia and he said it was tiny and I should do nothing. He said he was glad I brought my wife because wives who don't hear it directly tend to doubt their husbands and return to hear it in person. Nice staff and great DR.

I am pretty grateful to Dr. Robert Markus, he removed my gallbladder recently and it was my first time having general anesthesia. He made me feel comfortable and safe, plus he explained to me the procedure and the benefits of my surgery. I highly recommend him, he is the best surgeon also, he speaks Spanish and has a great sense of humor. If you are looking for the best it's Dr. Robert Markus!

Dr Marcus MD is a fabulous surgeon! He used the DiVinci Robotic for my hernia surgery. I’m healing wonderfully in only 5 days.... My wife and I experienced professional care over the top from day one. The surgery was done at Arise Surgical Medical hospital in Austin. Great surgical location too! Dr Marcus and his staff are excellent at what they do. Sincerely Christopher

I saw Dr. Markus 5 years ago and he made such an imprint on me, I felt it necessary to post a review so many years later. He was very friendly, funny, patient, and knowledgeable. Now I live in Colorado and need a surgeon, but don't think anyone will compare. I highly recommend Dr. Markus!

Dr. Markus made me feel very comfortable during my experience. He took the time to answer all of my questions and explain to me everything that was going to be done for my surgical procedure. He has a wonderful sense of humor that also breaks the stress and tension. If I ever need a surgeon again in my future I will definitely be coming back to him.
