Dr. Robert Maro Jr, MD

My review keeps on being removed. If it gets removed again, I'll post it again. Would not recommend. Both doctor and staff had no masks on during the height of the pandemic. The doctor did not even examine me. All he did was talk-and he didn't listen to anything I said. He also managed to insert his political beliefs into the visit and made a couple of pejorative comments about black people. I will not be going back.

Dr. Maro is a nice guy who seems more interested in discussing where to get a good cheesesteak than focusing on his patient’s health.. i accompanied my 76 year old mother to his office in October during which visit she complained of swelling, lethargy, weight gain and a lack of appetite. I specifically asked him if she had any signs of cancer to which he replied an emphatic no. He gave her fluid pills and medicine for high blood pressure. The man could not have been more wrong! Not more than 2 weeks later she ended up in the ER with acute kidney failure (likely due to his moronic prescriptions.) When I called him to discuss my Mother’s case he was cold and callous and started to tell me how 6 people in his graduating class from medical school died of ovarian cancer (which he again incorrectly diagnosed her with based on one CAT scan!). He signed off the phone with a booming “Good Luck!” Never in my life have I seen a more obnoxious, overweight, or incompetent doctor. Stay away!

I've only been to this office a few times, and I can't really review Dr. Maro himself, but I have never seen a doctor's office that was run so poorly. The billing manager, Stephanie, has been evasive, rude, and frankly predatory. She sent a bill to collections without notifying me when it was denied (after she submitted it to my insurance INCORRECTLY...TWICE). After 5 months of constant phone calls and unanswered messages, she finally got the bill paid through my insurance, and then failed to notify the collections agency that my bill had been paid. On top of all that, some of the office staff is extremely rude and disorganized and the office building is gross. I was given a shot in a dirty break room next to a nurse eating her lunch, and had a checkup in an exam room with huge boxes and dusty old equipment stacked next to me. I will not be going back and do not recommend this office to anyone who does not want to deal with a complete nightmare.

Dr Maro has caused, by his mistakes, my mother to almost die twice in 6 months! He does not respect the family He does not consult with other doctors for things out of his scope. 2020, mid-pandemic Dr. Maro, doesn't know how to be a doctor anymore. He's causing harm!

Dr. Maro has been my doctor for almost 20 years. He is not only my amazing doctor, but my entire family's doctor. I have never met a more intelligent, kind, and honest physician. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. Nothing but good things to say!! Janelle Van Wagn

We have been going to Dr. Maro Jr. for several years. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience behind him. He answers all of your questions and takes time to listen and recommend the best treatment and medications for your individual situation.

Dr Maro spends time with you and listens to you and does not rush you out of the office he seems to have a lot of experience and is usually right on with his initial prognosis.
