Dr. Robert Patterson III, MD

After receiving a huge increase in my medical insurance premiums, I was compelled to read medical records from an inpatient stay at the stress center where I saw this Dr. Patterson. I was shocked at what he wrote about me. He had been hateful, cruel and accusatory during therapy sessions. I couldn’t wait to leave there and instead of being helpful, he silenced me. I have been afraid of everything since that day. Horrible, horrible man. I truly believe this man has caused more harm than good to me and I suspect other, from what I heard other patients say. My solace is that God is in control and this man’s hatefulness will be revealed one day when it matters most. Stay clear.

Incredibly rude and incompetent doctor. He would not address my serious side effects, including seizures, hallucinations, and rapid weight gain. He said I was faking my hallucinations and seizures, both which ceased soon after I was able to change doctors and medications. I've never been so invalidated by a professional in my life. Stay away.

It's difficult to write this after spending time in the hospital, but I felt it important to give credit where it is due. Dr Patterson is an excellent physician who takes his time to explain diagnoses and medicines to people at their lowest moments. I appreciated his bedside manner and attention to detail. I wish their were more doctors like him.

Lacks good judgement while unethical, unprofessional, incompetent. Most concerning is a lack of empathy. His explanations from my experience, have been wrong; Dr. Patterson is a liability to any practice and you risk a major lawsuit within the first 2 years of hiring. Thankfully, he rarely stays at a job longer than that. You and your loved ones deserve the very best and you won't find anything but a pill pusher who has no idea what he is doing with Patterson. Report any suspected violations.

Totally arrogant and rude among other things. seems far more concerned with his problems than mine. Went to get a second opinion and the 2nd Doctor's opinion proved to be far superior. avoid "Dr" Paterson at all costs

This man is the worst doctor I have ever had. He is rude! I looked up what he said about drug combo and he was wrong. He brings his personal life with him. He has difficulty listening. Very awkward and uncomfortable. Has multiple complaints. He also is fighting in court to avoid child support and had a protective order filed against him on one or two occasions related to that (Marion county court records). He owes IU 300,000 dollars. I have no respect for this guy, his actions and incompetence.
