Dr. Polak is always very understanding and encouraging through the process, both before and after surgery. I’m thankful for the tool he’s given me, and that he and the care team are always amazing with every interaction more than two years post-op.

Dr. Polak seems to struggle with social skills and empathy. He Is good at explaining why he thinks what he does, but wasn't a good listener to what I had to say. It felt like he didn't care and dismissed me. When you go to a doctor, you need to feel heard and comfortable/safe and k didn't. I left feeling shameful for asking for help.

My only concern is a two night stay should be discussed in length especially for patients with young children at home. While I was okay enough to take care of myself and had child care set up for my kids, one more day of rest and healing would have been very beneficial. The doctors didn't refuse to let me stay, I just simply thought I was ready.
