Dr. Robert Ravinsky, MD

Excellent spinal surgeon with an even better bedside manner. He extracted bits of lumbar disk material wedged inside my spinal canal allowing me to regain strength and feeling in my right leg and foot. Wish there were more than five stars to rate him.

Absolutely will recommend. Dr. Ravinsky's education and experience are superior. He engages with patients in decisions about their care. Dr. Ravinsky explained my MRI results and showed me the cause of my severe pain, answering all my questions. He discussed conservative treatment in addition to a surgical option, explaining potential risks. Additional testing was ordered for further evaluation, and Dr. Ravinsky recommended that I continue with existing measures in the interim. A follow-up review consultation was scheduled. Dr. Ravinsky suggested I investigate the outcomes of ongoing conservative courses of action versus the specialized surgery required to address my issue; including methods, post operative recovery challenges and the risks, which exceed those of more common procedures. Overall, he encouraged me to be better informed and understand how the options will affect my care and recovery. I appreciated being engaged in evaluating decisions for my own treatment.

Excellent and compassionate physician. Great surgeon. Takes time to explain my spine problems in full and answers all of my questions. Back pain has decreased tremendously!
