Another disappointment with this practice regarding missing appointments. After getting billed 75 dollars for a physical appointment which I was unable to get to (due to work issues and spending 10 minutes on hold to inform the office, whereupon they informed me I will be billed for missing anyway). This most recent issue involved my son who had a pre op physical scheduled. his semi boke down and he was stuck on the road and when he called and explained the situation (while directing traffic around his disabled semi) he was informed that they will be billing him for this missed appointment as well. Geneva Family Practice is set up to make as much money off the backs of the patients and insurance companies as possible. I have an insurance change coming up and will be happy to leave this service. After 25 years I would not have expected this relationship to end this way.

Dr. Rivers has been my primary care physician (and only physician) for about 20 years. I see him annually and have always had excellent experiences with him and his staff. He takes a lot of time with me, always making me feel like I'm the only patient on his mind. He's caring in an old-school way - like Marcus Welby is my doctor! I highly recommend him.

He did not fully examine or help my Mom who had a bad case of shingles, just gave her meds and never examined her. We were very upset and went to another Dr.

He ignored the severity of the pain in my mom's legs until it was too late. I wish I could attach a picture of my mom's legs the day after she saw mr. rivers, and the day I had to call the ER to get the situation handled. She almost had complete kidney failure and she has been seeing him for years. He is old and just cashing a check to pay his liability insurance. This guy needs to retire already! Don't go to him, or send anyone you care about under his care....please!

My Husband has been a patient of Dr. Rivers for the last ten years or more and has very high cholesterol. He has never changed his medication in all those years. He recently went to see him for chest pains and this Doctor told him he had indigestion. Any other Dr. would have recommended an EKG or something considering my Husbands history as well as high blood pressure. Long story short, my Husband had double bypass surgery eight days ago at Northwestern Central Dupage hospital. Not a good Dr.!!

I have been a patient of Dr. River's for about 30 years. He has just the right combination of compassion and professionalism. He is patient with the many questions that are asked and explains the answers in scientific detail as well as understandable English. He is a great doctor!
