TLIF L5-S1 and Laminectomy
At my first visit, Ruggiero's PA ordered X-rays on the spot to confirm my spondylolisthesis. In the same visit, he empathized and agreed to escalate to surgery, skipping epidural step therapy that was unnecessary in my situation. After surgery, I had zero incision pain and no fluid leakage at all. I can finally stand straight without inducing nerve pain. Gave me a second chance at life. A few months later, I'm feeling good as new. Keep in mind, I'm 29 and healthy bodyweight, non-smoking. The most important aspect about Ruggiero is that he will hear all of your concerns and address them properly. This is why he is typically running 45 minutes behind schedule. Well worth the wait.

The very best!
Dr Ruggiero did a full knee replacement on my right knee which went really well with hardly any pain. I believe he fixed everything without damaging any other tissues or other knee structures. Frankly, after hearing other stories about other doctors and procedures, I was amazed at how well my surgery went! So I just had my other knee replaced by Dr Ruggiero and it went just as well, he is amazing! I only took pain meds for a couple of days, and I have NO PAIN now, and my stitches come out in two days. I am driving, walking without a cane, and I feel great! I can only say I am so grateful for his giving me the ability to walk normally again! Yes, he is the best!

Very competent and very caring
I had 2 previous back surgeries some time ago in Florida and continued to have a lot of problems. Dr. Ruggiero took the time to fully diagnose my problem and then performed a very successful surgery. It's almost 2 years after the surgery and I'm so much better. I was referred by a friend who had excellent results. Well so did I!

The Best!
Dr Ruggiero operated on my back 18 years ago. Successsful Discectomy and laminectomy L4-5. Also S/I joint fusion 1 yr ago. Am now having bad pain I thought was hip but it's coming from my back per doc. I cannot wait to get rid of this pain and haven't been able to walk even one block in the last year. I think doc waited too long to figure out the problem and am HOPEFUL the end is in sight with no more pain! Will have injection next week. Staff is just wonderful. Got me in to see him very quickly too.

Dr. Ruggerio Jr did both my back surgeries when I was 24 and 25. The first was to unpinch my sciatic nerve which helped for a year, but I continued to be a dental assistant which continued to put a strain on my L4, L5. About a year later I at the age of 25 opted to get spinal fusion. Dr. Ruggerio Jr asked me to get a second opinion and I didn't seeing I had made my decision. It has been now over 9 years and I have never been better! I am bartending and serving. I only have minor flare ups when it is cold outside. He was very thorough with explaining the procedures with me and my family. He was extremely professional. I would and have recommended him to numerous friends and coworkers who have had back problems. When I need another surgery there is no hesitation I will definitely be going back to Dr. Ruggerio Jr!!! Thanks so much!!
