Dr. Robert Russell, MD

I talked, he seemed to me to listen but in the end I have my doubts.

Dr Russell performed two reconstructive surgeries on me in the late 80's and early 90's. He repaired my nose using a rib as the graft. It was a long procedure. No one else would touch my case except Dr Russell. Still looks fabulous! I cannot say enough great things about this surgeon! He is so talented and amazing! Thank you Dr Russell!

First at the consult, the student assistant advised that a deep plane lift would best address cert issues discussed. At preop, suddenly Dr. Russell lied and said deep planes are no longer performed ANYWHERE (and for the same price previously quoted) he would only perform a SMAS lift (which is less thorough and generally less expensive). It did not fix what I wanted fixed. With other work performed he created additional asymmetries Go elsewhere if you want someone who knows how to properly and best remediate scars and properly fat graft rather than create worse abnormalities by ineffective methods that are more invasive and pushed at last min. contrary to prior discussion. I was better off when I walked in the door than afterwards. A month later, I could not see normally from both eyes and had pain. Total waste of money pain and suffering. MAJOR disappointment additional asymmetries, work that needs undone and corrected not in small part due to the lies told by that office.

The worst possible experience..had hand surgery in June…5 weeks of therapy and exercise my hand still doesn’t work..I still keep up with the exercises but having no luck….he is a teaching doctor and doesn’t do the surgery. His resident does it. Dr Russell is there as an instructor.

Dr. Russell is the best hand surgeon there is in Springfield, Illinois. I would highly recommend him.

I feel like my life has been ruined by the side effects of the bad surgery he performed.
