Dr. Robert Sawyer Jr, MD

The first time I met Dr. Sawyer was 5 minutes before my colonoscopy. He can have any political beliefs of his choice, but, he walked in to shake my hand and his first words were, 'All lives matter'. He may have thought this appropriate but this was during the 'Black Lives Matter' promotions and, I am white, but felt this comment from a man who doesn't know me at all, was EXTREMELY INAPPROPRIATE. A year later, I had an episode of a large amount of blood pouring from my rectum and I was vomiting. I called his office to see him and was told the first available appointment was in 2 months. I asked to see another doctor in the practice and was told that I was not allowed to schedule with someone else as he was my doctor. They transferred my call to his PA and I left a message for her. She called me back hours later and told me she could see me on Monday--this was the Wednesday before and I had been bleeding over 24 hours. I wound up going to the ER and was admitted to the hospital!

Dr Sawyer is one of a vanishing group of doctors that care more about their patients’ well being and good health than complying with all of the restrictions imposed by the medical bureaucracy! He’s been my GI doctor for more than 30 years!

I've seen Dr. Sawyer for 3 or 4 times in the past year and find him to be kind, compassionate and a great listener. He knows his stuff and I'd highly recommend him.

Excellent treatment by Dr Sawyer and all members of his staff. This was the second time he did this procedure for me. I have not hesitation in recommending him.
