I had my left hip replaced by Dr Sciorinto 5 years ago with the SuperPath Method. The recovery was smooth and I am happy with the results . I had Osteoarthritis and was bone on bone. I was recommended by a friend that needed both her hips done and she had great results. I will be back this year to get my right hip done as doctor told me I’d be back in 5 years to have the right one replaced. He was right on!

Follow up to my Nov'18 review. Ryan Nunley w/ Wash U did surgery to correct what Sciortino denied was even a problem (overstretched/inflamed muscles due to measuring error). I was waking up in the middle of the night to stabbing pain, & all Sciortino could ever say was "the x-rays look fine". He said he couldn't explain my problem, but refused to acknowledge his operation might not have been perfect, refused to call Nunley to discuss the case, and never returned the call Nunley made to him at my request. Verdict 14 months post-op w/ Nunley? Recovery went so well I DIDN'T EVEN NEED TO DO OUTPATIENT REHAB. Within 90 days, I was back to power-walking 20 miles a week, and have returned to cycling with no issues. My stupidity was wasting 2yrs+ dealing w/ needless pain and discomfort by taking Sciortino at his word and thinking I'd just have to suck it up for the rest of my life. I'm sure most of his surgeries turn out "OK", but mine didn't, and the way he handled it was inexcusable.

Dr. Sciortino performed a total hip replacement on me. The surgery and recovery went very well. I returned home the day after surgery. I live in Mid-MO and started PT two days after the surgery. The PTs in mid-MO were very surprised to see my mobile and ability to walk after surgery. Super-path is a great option—-much faster recovery than traditional hip replacement surgery options.

Dr. Sciortino performed a bicep tendon repair surgery on my right arm. The result was a repaired tendon and 6 months of complete palsy in my right hand due to radial nerve damage during the surgery. This required months of physical therapy to recover the use of the hand, and over $3000 in out of pocket expenses related to the nerve injury caused by Dr. Sciortino. Dr. Sciortino's response? "Sorry". Be aware: Dr. Sciortino does not stand behind his work. His response was that, "the bicep tendon was repaired successfully. I'm not responsible for other outcomes." I had a carpenter drop a putty knife in my shower chipping the tile. He immediately offered to pay for repairs. I had Dr. Sciortino render my right hand useless for 6 months, and I got, "Sorry, nothing I can do to help you." Recommend that you not use Dr. Sciortino, and find a Dr. that demonstrates more concern for overall outcomes of his work.

Had a hip replacement 8 years after a similar surgery on my other hip by another surgeon. Twice as much pain and less speedy return of functionality. I see no benefit to his Superpath method.

i Had Super Path Hip Replacement at 7:30 am on May 31, 2017. I left the hospital the next day on June 1, 2017 walking on a walker. June 3, walked with a cane and resumed my daily bike rides. June 6, I quit using a cane and drove my car. Bottom line, I've had little to no pain and my activity level increases with each passing day. I thank God that Dr. Sciortino chose to go to the effort and expense of obtaining the training for SP to help his patients. The results are truly remarkable.

Dr. Sciortino did a total hip replacement on me using the superpath technique on 12/16/15. The next day I was walking around Schnucks with my walker feeling no pain. In two days I was using a cain; and by Christmas, I was walking without the cain. People can't believe the quick and painless re-hab. The office, the hospital, and the doctor were great.
