Caring and Compassionate Doctor
My husband was sent to Dr. Robert Silzer to test for neuropathy in his feet due to his diabetes. And we also discussed the lesion that was found at the back of my husband’s brain. The doctor thoroughly explained what he was seeing during the testing and answered all questions we had thoroughly. He recommended more testing. He had so much compassion and concern for my husband’s medical condition. We walked into the appointment all stressed out, BUT we walked out feeling like we had found an Absolutely the BEST doctor around.

Amazing doctor!! Very knowledgeable
I saw Dr Silzer for my Dysautonomia issues and asked him for treatment that I’ve had in the past that really helped me. He is knowledgeable about it and is getting me all set up!! My favorite Dysautonomia doctor in Central AR!!

Dr. Silzer needs to be removed
Dr. Silzer was very dismissive of my symptoms, often cutting me off mid-sentence as I was trying to explain symptoms to him. If he wants to be rude & dismissive but can still deliver a diagnosis, I will deal with it, but he wasn’t able to determine what was causing my condition. I wasted a year going to him, not to mention thousands of dollars on tests that he did nothing with. With neurology, I completely understand not being able to get an easy diagnosis, but you should never, as a medical professional, say “well, I can’t really find anything wrong, so I think you’re ok” when the symptoms clearly say very loudly otherwise! If Dr. Silzer has no interest in investigating complicated neurological disorders & working to find an answer, he should hang it up. The office staff is also bad. When you are suffering from any condition, especially possibly life-threatening one, the last thing you need is for the scheduler to tell you to “get over it” when you can’t get an appt for months!!!

I like Dr. Silzer. He's very smart, but is not a warm fuzzy hand holder. He truly cares, but his more clinical approach probably prevents patients from being able to see his compassion until after a few visits. I know he wants to help and get you well, but he seems to take a "this will take a bit of trial and error to get you on the right meds" approach. Medically speaking that's true, but since we patients have normally been having trouble for awhile, we want a silver bullet that will erase the disease and turn back the hands of time. Silzer knows no such solution exists, so he takes a long term approach that may seem off-putting to some.

The worst doctor that I have ever seen! I would not give him any stars but it makes me leave one! I was having memory problems and had two memory test done before I saw him and was sent to him . He put me on a few different seizure meds that didn't help. Each visit just asked if I was still having the issue and would refill my prescription never ran a test in two years when I questioned him he would tell me my memory was on me! The last straw was when I had a psychologist put me on something for altimers that seemed to help and while telling him about it he said I just wanted a pill to make me smart. I don't think he cares to help you if it requires him to use his brain! I do not recommend him

I will never recommend him to anyone. My file was sent to him for review, but when my long awaited appointment day came, he acted like he didn't have a clue who I was. I'm sure that he had not reviewed my file to familiarize himself with my issue and I understand that he has many patients...some who surely are in worse shape than I, but I drove two hours to LR for my aapt. and I left there crying. He wanted me to redo all my tests and come back. I wouldn't have to if he had done his homework.

Seemed he couldn't remember anything about me from the last visit and the visit before. Doesn't listen. Talks in circles I guess in hopes I wouldn't have anything to say. No manners whatsoever. Horrible experience. All other staff was nice.
