Great analytical Doc
Dr. Van Boven is the most complete and detailed Doc I've ever been to. I'm an Engineer and his level of questions and detail are beyond compare. He does not have a bedside manner, so if you want someone to sympathize with you, he is not your Doc. If you want the right information, a Doc who will take all the time he needs to figure out what is going wrong with you, he is highly detailed and persistent. Dr. Van Boven is the Sherlock Holmes of figuring out exactly what is wrong.

f i could give no stars, I would. Today was the second time I arrived for an appointment with Dr Van Boven and no one was there. The office was dark and locked. The first time he missed our appointment, it took them 3 days to call back, apologize and re-schedule. At the time, I was told Dr. Van Boven had an emergency. If I even get a call back this time, I assume there will have been another "emergency. I took time off from work and drove quite a distance for this appointment and am stunned this happened again. How can anyone run a doctor's office this way.

Dr. Van Boven spent several hours doing a history and physical for my relative. Other physicians had missed the diagnosis of a rare neurological infection. Diagnosis and treatment was confirmed by experts at NIMH and Houston. Relative is back in school and doing much better.

Great neurologist! After visiting many doctors, other neurologists included, Dr. Van Boven took the time to listen to me. After an extensive physical exam, he identified the problem and my MRI confirmed his diagnosis. I have never had a doctor spend as much time with me as Dr. Van Boven did. I am extremely grateful that I had him as my doctor.
