Couldn’t ask for a better doctor… thorough, knowledgeable, and explained info completely. Like the fact that he didn’t push for cataract procedure, but rather validated my “let’s wait till it’s bothering me” feelings

Thorough and Efficient
This was my first Laser Treatment for Glaucoma. After registering at the front desk, I was called in quickly to have my vision and eye pressure checked efficiently by staff. After a very brief wait, I was shown to another room where Dr. Van Der Vaart explained the laser treatment and then applied it to my eye. He provided me with the follow-up eye drops I was to take and clearly defined when I should take them. I was pleased to learn after another pressure check 15 minutes later that the pressure in my eye had decreased by one-third. I will return soon to repeat the procedure in my other eye.

He’s adequate, by today’s standards I guess. Surgical abilities aren’t the best, don’t think he’s that knowledgeable in general. Not very thorough.

3 yrs post cataract had protein growth blurring vision. Quick laser treatment restored vision.
