Terrible! Stay away! He was pushing for a totally unnecessary surgery. Why? I'm not sure whether he's just clueless or was trying to perform the surgery for his own profit. Either way...avoid him at your own peril.

Dr. Yaghoubian has been an excellent doctor to work with thus far. He explained every aspect of the injury and when surgery was needed, he was informative throughout the process. I was especially impressed that he called the evening after surgery to check up on me.

He knows his stuff!
He's no- nonsense, all business- so he comes across as cold. But don't be fooled, he's an excellent doctor and surgeon. He did my left shoulder (rotor cuff) years after a different surgeon did both of them. Since this was my third surgery, I know what I'm talking about. I highly recommend him!

Poor outcome
Not good at all, visits are rushed , and personality is lacking. I felt more like a number instead of a patient.

An exceptional experience!
I consulted with Dr Yaghoubian regarding problems with my right hand. He explained very clearly how we should proceed. Not only did he personally call my husband after the procedure, but also took the time to call and check on me later in the afternoon. I totally recommend both Dr Yaghoubian and Western Surgical.

Sexist and a poor doc. I ruptured my bicep long-head bicep tendon last year. He said he only repairs that tendon in young male athletes. I am a 60s female athlete (rower). He also failed to diagnose the ruptured subscap and superspinatus tendons of the rotator cuff (which is common with the bicep rupture). He did not order an MRI, did not prescribe pain meds, did not order PT, did not schedule a follow up visit. He gave me a cortisone shot and sent be on my way. I went to UCONN and had all the tendons repaired and am hoping for a reasonable recovery--it will take a year. The office staff and PA were excellent.

I had a cyst removed that was about the size of a golf ball by the base of my thumb. After the surgery Dr. Yaghoubian called my house at 8pm to make sure I was alright. The follow up visit went well and he gave me exercises to do so I would not need physical therapy afterwards. He answered all my questions and was very professional.

I recently had surgery with Dr Yaghoubbian for a common condition in layman’s terms called “trigger finger.”All did not go exactly according to plan , in that I am one of the very few that did not recover quickly and had to have a lot of physical therapy and my scar tissue did not dissipate as rapidly as most. Dr. Yaghoubbian has been concerned , informative and helpful through the process. We have discussed solutions to alleviate any lingering problem. He is very knowledgeable and trustworthy.

HORRIFIC! So thankful I trusted myself to get a second opinion. No surgery needed. Only interested in $ not your well being, pain or career as a pro athlete. Surgery would have meant multiple surgeries, longer recovery and completely unnessecary. Way more risk. Scar tissue and 12 weeks. Other Dr has been in practice for 35 years and never performed surgery DR.Y thought was needed. RUN FOR A SECOND OPINION!!! HES A BUTCHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Yaghoubian could not have been less iinterested in my elderly mother when he saw her as a paient. He barely even looked at her despite the fact that she was talking to him. Very dismissive in general. Spent 4 minutes in the room. Casting and everything else was done by other staff members who were more caring and alert than he was. Very put off by this experieince. No way to treat people--never mind an elderly person in pain.
