Dr. Roberto Polanco, MD

I got a surgery at the HCA Kendall Hospital when I went home after the surgery, he gave me a prescription for the after surgery pain (it was a terrible pain) , But my wife did not get the medicine after going to 10 pharmacies, I tried to contact his office 2 days in a row to try to change the medicine, I left messages, they never returned the calls, they never answer the phone numbers. It was a really bad experience.

Great doctor and very professional. Takes time with patients and he is very helpful.

This man is extremely rude and makes you feel uncomfortable in the way he communicates. No bedside manner whatsoever. He walks in without introducing himself nor asking you if you are ok. Begins practically yelling and does not give you a chance to answer. It’s basically in his own words “ I’m the pain management doctor I can do what I want I don’t care what the other doctors have said.” Staff themselves apologize constantly for the care this man gives. It’s sad he is still in practice with his lack of empathy and humanity. He needs to retire or directly addressed by the board themselves. I can not express enough as a RN myself how horrible having this dr attend to patients is.

I am a patient currently at HCA HEALTHCARE FRMLY KENDALL REGIONAL HOSPITAL . I was waiting for his consult all day, doesn’t return calls, he shows up at 10pm when I’m asleep , severe pain, and starts asking questions, doesn’t let my wife explain or ask questions, or express concerns and we felt pressured to hurry up answer questions. Then he saw what insurance I have “Oscar Ins” he was like oh you have Oscar and he practically gave up on me said ok I will change your pain meds go over what has been done and left ! He did NOT care about my health, HE CARED ABOUT MY HEALTH INS. So that tells me he doesn’t care about patients unless your insurance pays him the most!!! I’m very disappointed with his lack of professionalism and lack of empathy for a patient

Very quick to prescribe narcotics

Very professional .and straight to the point.the only issue i would have is the wait time is a little long.

Dr Polanco is very soft spoken, you feel at peace discussing your medical needs. Excellent Doctor he also was my father's doctor years ago and he had the same companionate care. I highly recommend him.
