After experiencing a visit with my new family provider it turned out to be my first and last. Two physicians were recommended to me and I chose Dr. Elmark. I immediately liked and trusted this provider. He and his wonderful staff made me feel at home and I have since had appointments since the first,

Been a patient for a couple of years as of now no availability to reschedule appoints going elsewhere must be more flexible with patients. Do not recommend this doctors office.

Wonderful doctor. Very compassionate and understanding. He takes the time to really listen. Very knowledgeable. I find it refreshing to have a doctor who looks at all options when it comes to my health and explains everything throughly.

Unprofessional, rude

Dr Ekmark has managed my primary care needs for almost 3 yrs. He has always addressed my concerns and answered my questions. He utilizes his knowledge and instincts to help explain things in terms I can understand . When I need labwork or to go to a specialist, Dr Ekmark is helpful in expediting the request/order. I am very happy he is now located in Lavernia and am very pleased with his nurse Misty. I would suggest him for anyone looking for a primary care provider.

The staff is lazy and rude! I have never been humiliated by a receptionist as bad as Dr. Ekmarks staff. They all need repremanded for their rude display of carelessness. Fire them all and get staff that know how to smile and not spit!!

Dr Ekmark is very compassionate and patient with my very difficult mother. He is extremely professional and his staff competent.

My first time visit with Dr. Ekmark. He has excellent patient-physician communication skills. He respects your privacy, easy to work with, readily offers advice and listens to what your preferences are. He does not listen to me and does not seem to trust my insights and knowledge about my own body.

I would highly recommend him if you could get directly to his office. Unable to make contact for a call back since you can only go through the hospital. They do not call back, I have left 3 messages and you can not get through to a person as it loops back to leave a message. Second instance where the hospital staff has not responded to a request for a call back. This time it's been almost a full Month , called 3 times no response.

Took 2 weeks to get into see him - b/c new patient. At appt he couldn't do anything for me until he seen xrays I had taken at the ER in Georgetown Tx His office did no follow up so 2 weeks later - still no xrays. I called today - xrays finally in. I never got a call/I had to call and check. Now can't get appt for 2 weeks still no pain meds prescribed. Meanwhile I have suffered with this for 34 days straight. Unbelievable.

I love Dr. Ekmark BUT I have to stop going to his practice due to his OFFICE STAFF! Staff has scheduled me for other locations when I told them I ONLY want to be seen in La Vernia. Staff meetings scheduled when patients are booked to have bloodwork AND no staff shows up for scheduled appointment. Office Manager says she will call you back and NEVER DOES. Paperwork needed to be filled out gets lost.. One office has no idea what the other is doing its not a very efficient setup up.

I have seen several doctors over the years. With that being said, I must say Dr. Ekmark is the best. He is very understanding how the patient feels and does his very best to satisfy his patients. I was referred to him by a pharmacy clerk. I must say I'm very glad I listen to her recommendation. Dr ekmark is a doctor who really cares about his patients and takes his time in his Visit's. He is simply the best a person can ask for when it comes to a MD.Thank you Dr.Ekmark for always being there.
