Really wonderful. Dr. Starkie is patient and calm. Don't let his casual or quiet manner fool you, he is very thoughtful and does something most Drs don't do. He listens! He may come off as abrupt, but I noticed he listened to every word and carefuly made a determination. He missed a VERY big issue with me that several other doctors had missed, and all because he took the time to listen and understand my problem. If you want a doctor who is all bedside manner and no brains, by all means go elsewhere, but this is a doctor who does his job: taking care of sick people.

I did not like this Dr. starkie Where do these people come from. He was just bitter. He did not care of my well being . He was trying to assess my situation and had a chip on is shoulder the whole time . Very rude and superior attitude and when I called him out on what he said offensively to me he back tracked and said he didn’t say that . I don’t know why Kaiser has him. May be he just likes to undermine his patient so he can feel he is in charge . Disappointed in KP for not ...

Do not go to this doctor. Went to him for 2nd opinion regarding worsening muscle twitching/parasthesias. He walks in, and asks me what symptoms I'm feeling. Because we've never met, I proceed to tell him relevant history and he stops me and says "No what are you feeling now." I proceed to tell him, he stops me again and says "That's impossible, that can't happen. Next." What I was describing was internal tremors. Rushed exam, does not listen, will dismiss your symptoms. Very rude.

Dr. Starkie always seems to be in a rush and doesn't seem to genuinely care about my well being. I am very dissatisfied with the care I have received thus far. I plan on going to see another neurologist.

I have found Dr. Starkie to compassionate, caring and knowledgeable. He gets back to us very quickly with questions answered and advice given. I will recommend him to anyone I know who needs to see a neurologist, and have sung his praises to everyone who asks about our neurologist.
