Brain Tumor
I absolutely adore Dr. Samuelson. I recently had a surgery to remove a meningioma brain tumor I suffered with for over 10 years and was afraid to undergo surgery. This doctor was kind, comforting and intelligent and made me feel safe in his hands. He did a wonderful job no strokes, no brain bleeds, no physical or speech impairments. I came through this feeling better than ever. This was a removal of a parasaggital falx meningioma. My community is so lucky to have him. Scottsbluff area people do not feel you need to outsource to Colorado or Omaha because we have been blessed with an outstanding neurosurgeon.

I took my Mother to see Dr. Samuelson to see if she could be treated with a shunt for hydrocephalus. He proceeded to explain to my Mother and I about the evolution of man and that cavemen did not have a very long life expectancy and that my Mother had surely outlived hers. Yes, it sounds outrageous. Yes, he said it.

He is a wonderful doctor, not only very intelligent, but has a very kind, & pleasant personality, which is so very important, especially when a patient is facing a very serious & complicated surgery. I especially appreciated how Dr. Samuelson explained what was wrong, on the CT, & other tests, & what, surgically, would be necessary to repair the problem. We are so fortunate & blessed to have Dr. Samuelson in our area. Thank You for being here for us!

Went for a neck surgery consult and was told he would not do the surgery due to my life expectancy. I am currently going through chemo treatment for cancer that my team of oncologists have told me is treatable. Dr. Samuelson then tells me I have 6 months to live. Not sure why he would say such a terrible thing to a person - didn't know he was also an oncologist. Waited 25 minutes to get into my appointment as well. My doctors were informed and saw his notes in my chart and were appalled.
