Dr. Roger Altman, MD

There is a new doctor in the office now. Dr. Mirza is really great. He did a thorough skin exam and found carcinoma on my skin. I recommend this new doctor.

Horrible experience with this doctor. The most insensitive physician I’ve ever met. Once he came to his diagnostic guess of my condition, he announced it loudly to the entire staff and nearby patients in the waiting room…..clearly a HIPAA violation. He didn’t care. Arrogant and uncaring. I went to another dermatologist for a 2nd opinion. Totally different opinion and result + positive experience.

My son was told last week at his appointment to come back this week for further procedures to clear up his skin issues. He was excited but worried for days. Today, in their hurry to close the office to celebrate the holiday they only did half of what they promised and said they wouldn’t be able to do more, them promptly closed at 3 pm. Dec 31. The staff apparently does not communicate with each other and makes promises and commitments they cannot keep

I was in and out of the exam room in less than 3 minutes. It seemed like he was trying to establish a new record time, and was annoyed after I posed a question 30 seconds in already. A pre-melanoma exam for a new patient with history should not be conducted from 2-3 feet away. After obviously just glancing at my torso and legs, I pointed out that my last Dr found something on my scalp. He then combed through my hair and said he feels like a monkey doing it. He did not let me finish my sentences.

Dear Dr. Altman My visit to your office was nothing short of spectacular. Thank you for your kindness and your expertise. Your staff are amazing. Denise is a gem. The whole visit is exemplary. May God rewards you for the great job you do everyday.

I made my first appointment with Dr. Altman and had two Basil Cell cancers removed from my face. I highly recommend him. He was highly knowledgeable, and respected my wishes. His staff is great, especially his nurse Melissa. I've been dealing with Basil Cell for twenty years, and he is the best.

Dr Altman performed Mohs surgery on my nose for skin cancer. I was very anxious about the procedure. Dr Altman was very caring and gentle he assured me he would keep the incisions clean and do his best to minimize scaring. I believe he performed very professionally and with great expertise. I had a good result with this surgery and highly recommend Dr. Altman. No doubt I will be back to see him for future needs. JRG

I would not recommend this doctor. Left a big scar on my nose and did not discuss consequences before MOH procedure that takes five minutes. Afterwards claims he can do skin graft but sends you to Plastic Surgeon 2 miles away. Not happy as you can tell by this survey and please go somewhere except this doctor who is always anxious to get to next patient. Considering legal action at this time. Anywhere but here. Dr.Altman is very caring and extremely knowledgeable in his field of expertise! He explains things and puts you at ease. I'm afraid of any kind of shots and he is so gentle you can barely feel the injections at all. I wish he could numb me for my dental appointments also. He has removed many suspicious moles from my body and face and is an artist! Thank you, Dr.Altman!!
