Dr. Roger Ogden, MD

Tore my Achilles tendon and needed surgery ASAP. Called and met with Dr. Ogden Tuesday, having surgery Thursday. Unbelievably good service in today’s health care world. Two thumbs up!

The office was well organized, and we had a minimal wait. The doctor came in and did his assessment on my son, and did not go overboard with unnecessary recommendations. Instead, offering a home exercise program before having to get into anything more extensive as it was not needed at this time. Very appreciated. Very knowledgeable.

Today was the first time that I met with Dr. Ogden and didn’t know what to expect. I’m glad to say that he was very easy to talk to and he fully listened to me. Also, I enjoyed that he explained my injury in every day language easy to understand.

Everyone from the staff to thedoctors are the very definition of the Healthcare Profession.

Unlike many doctor visits, I've never had a long wait to see Dr. Ogden. His office runs like a well oiled machine--sign in, get called back to the exam room and within a few minutes things start happening. My routine is 2 to 3 x-rays due to an ankle surgery to make sure all is healing well. Head back to the exam room and usually less than 5 minutes Dr. Ogden comes in, discusses the x-ray results, asks if there's any issues, and if so, offers a diagnosis as to what the issue is and how to deal with it.We discuss PT progress and what I should expect in the coming weeks as far as gaining more mobility, lessening of stiffness and pain in the joint gradually getting better as I gain back strength and range of motion in the joint.Dr. Ogden specializes in foot and ankle problems, so if you have an issue with your foot or ankle, do yourself a favor and set up an appointment ASAP

He examined my left foot and leg. He added a couple more X-rays. I described how l hurt it. His review showed that no bones were broken but the nerve at the knee was damaged. He recommended I use a cane and a boot and why. He also said walking and stationary bike were good. This was a very good office visit. I can work within the guidelines and should be improving it by the time I see him in a month. He worked quickly and efficiently without hurrying.

Dr Ogden is personable and knowledgeable and knowledgeable. I am thankful he was open on Thanksgiving Wednesday.

His patience and care were excellent. He was very clear in his explanations throughout the visit and every visit I have had with him in the past.

Again, an exceptional experience with Dr. Ogden. He is professional, thorough, and genuine. I am sorry I that I had a new ankle injury and had to go see him again, but he is the one to see! Dr. Ogden is considerate of patients’ time and a delightful physician. Plus the entire staff is friendly and helpful.

I didn’t feel adequately informed of the potential risks of the surgery: ie. I was told that the worst case scenario was the continuance of existing pain. I ended up in far worse shape. I was not apprised of alternative options prior to surgery, only a steroid pack. I self-discovered a medication in 2024 that’s been available OTC since Feb-2020 but was not offered prior to procedure. 2 years out and I am disabled, only able to walk again by the grace of the medication I found through a support group. I was not taken seriously.

Dr. Ogden is OUTSTANDING! I live over an hour away and have ZERO problems driving to see him. I would drive 4 hours to see him over anyone in the Baton Rouge area. Nothing against the doctors here, but Dr. Ogden is on another level. Absolutely phenomenal and I’d recommend him to anyone and everyone!

First time visit to this facility and doctor and was impressed from office staff to the doctors assistant to the x-ray tech to the doctor. There were no glitches to mention, just professional service from all. Since he’s a surgeon, I expected a push towards surgery but no such thing happened. Friendly, professional, respectful visit and service. Highly recommend!!
