Arrogant and uncaring
I had issues with Dr. Thompson on two occasions where he was unprofessional and down right mean. The first time, I was getting some vaccinations for college. When he asked me what college I was going to, I told him Brookdale community college. His response was 'that's not a real college'.The second and final time was when I had to get paperwork filled out for a health screening that my job requires. The paperwork was incomplete so I went back to his office for him to fix it. He responded with annoyance and basically said he didn't want to see this paperwork again. When I explained what it was for he said 'I don't care' . Drm Thompson is arrogant and doesn't care at all about his patients. Look elsewhere if trying to find a family doctor

He obviously gave up caring
It makes me sick that people like Dr. Thompson take an oath to help patients then turn their back on him. Not sure what made him jaded, but your health will be WORSE if you become under his care or anyone at his shared IMA care centers in NJ. Stay far away

Terrible. Does not care about patient.
Saturday 1/13/24 8:00 AM. In a local urgent care with fever aches and pains and chest and sinus congestion (flu or covid?), and they were not permitted to treat me because RogerThompson has a 'restriction' on my account from 2016. Apparently they integrated and he's trying to hoard the business at my expense. All Thompson's office had to do was to let the urgent care know it was ok to treat me. They refused and were seriously rude about it. Told me there were other urgent cares I could go to and hung up on me. Obviously a business dispute and Thompson obviously cares more about that than a sick patient receiving care. Don't use him.

I called the office to find out whether they accept a specific plan from United Healthcare. They told me that they don't know. They gave me their tax ID number and told me that I should call the insurance to find out whether their office accepts their plan. Calling United healthcare I found out that they don't even want to deal with any tax ID #. There is no way I would go to any of the doctors in this office, because they don't know which insurance plans they accept. So they also wouldn't be able to tell in advance what is covered by the insurance. Maybe they just expect people to pay out of pocket. Very risky! I'm picking a doctor in another location for my primary care physician.

Practice is constantly busy and overbooked. Doctors (Thompson included) are dismissive. Nurses and staff are rude. Been a patient for years and now considering a change. This is not how a patient should be treated.

I feel since the office moved the staff is untrained. Told test results weren’t in it would be two weeks . Called two day later they say they had the results last week, that they mailed the results to me instead of calling. I have been a patient for years and now looking to go elsewhere

The service by this office is not acceptable and Dr. Thompson displays an attitude which makes me feel like I'm not important at all. I scheduled an apptmt for blood work. I called office 2days later, spoke to receptionist Jackie and she said the work wasnt complete yet and I would be contacted once it was. Two weeks later I discovered they were already available online. I called the office and asked to speak to Dr. Thompson. When he finally was available at 810pm he spoke to me for 10 secs.

Dr. Thompson has been my Primary care Physician for over 25 years. He truly cares about his patients. Although the medical field has changed from 25 years ago and his office has grown tremendously. He still takes the time to give you that one on one feeling as it was years ago. Doctors today are pushed to there limits he works countless hours. He has responded to my needs whenever I needed him. I trust him with my life. Dr. Thompson I couldn't thank you enough.

My mother has been a patient of this group for 20+ years. She unfortunately suffered a major stroke and is now in assisted living. I am her POA and have left messages for Dr. Thompson to return my call when my mother has a medical issue that we need addressed. He does not return phone calls . I am up to 5 messages left without the courtesy of a return call. I would NOT recommend him or his group. This has not happened just once, but multiple times.
