Horrible experience
I saw Dr. Yandell back in 2020 for my first ever gyno appointment. The very sweet resident Dr. Nguyen was gentle and patient until Dr. Yandell got frustrated and took over for her. He opened the speculum so violently it broke skin in several places. Later I asked him about the birth control I was taking, specifically complaining about increased acne. He told me there was no possible way a hormonal birth control could worsen acne (mind you ‘acne’ is listed explicitly on the side effects sheet attached to the monthly pack). I continued asking questions about other birth control options, and he interrupted me to offer to sterilize me altogether since I was “so worried about getting pregnant”. Horrifically unprofessional and insensitive man.

Not happy
I had hysterectomy several years ago. Horrible outcome! Had one correction in his office & two more outpatient, with one of his partners. I have never been the same. It appears to be unfixable!!

Bedside and Empathy Skills are not great.
Yandell operates in a friendly tone, and I'm sure he has many years of knowledge being board certified since 87, however - his tone and lack of empathy are upsetting. Dismissing and diminishing concerns, trying to use some scare tactics, and relaying unnerving stories of previous events or surgeries leaves an immense amount to be desired. I came aware knowing I was heard because I spoke, but dismissed and looked down on in a friendly tone. While I came away with the treatment I needed, it was only because I stood my ground and kindly reiterated several times what I needed to have happen - kicking the can down the road for someone else to solve instead of addressing it now wasn't acceptable - his concerns is what was easier for he and his clinic, not my long term benefit. His bedside manners need reevaluation.

Would not recommend seeing him. I went to get a vaginal skin tag removed and was told by him it was HPV and not a skin tag. It was new and I've had skin tags in the past, so I know what they look like. Dr. Yandell did not ask me about my sexual history (I'm married and have been with one person for the past 10 years) or do anything other than put some cream for HPV on it and send me on my way. I paid for a service that wasn't rendered to me and was misdiagnosed and gaslight into thinking I had an STD.

I've had a couple of experiences where Dr. Yandell was present & overseeing Obgyn residents who were helping me in different scenarios and he had a laid back mannerism, cared about my preferences and offered me important information that the resident doctor I was seeing hadn't told me.

I would definitely not recommend this place, the doctor is great but their team is very unprofessional, unorganized, and try to hurry you up and get you off the phone and just say someone will call you back and they never do. If you want some some or help or are in need of medical attention it definitely will not happen here.

He’s a nice enough man, but my hysterectomy came out horribly - about to endure a second correction surgery. I’d love to know how many women have gone through this because he did their hysterectomy!
