Dr. Rolando Perez, MD

Dr. Perez closed up shop and never submitted proper coding to for blood work. Now my insurance will not pay, based on the incorrect coding and my family is left stuck with a lab order collection notice that Dr. Perez can easily resolve by submitting the proper coding for the blood work. Sorry he had to close up shop, but handle your business with your patients.

Alon was great until my Doctor left and Dr. Perez became my PCP. He never worked with or saw me - he would always have the NPs take care of me. I found out TODAY that he shut down ALON Family on 7/31/21 and did not notify his patients other than posting a message online. I am out of refills that are mandatory to my wellbeing. Very unprofessional

He's absolutely wonderful, but unfortunately has been out on medical leave for a couple years now. The PA's are good, but I miss seeing my actual Dr. It takes a lot longer to get things done, as they still need to go through him for approval and signing off on things. That process can take several days. it's impossible to reach the office by phone. Basically all communication has to be done through the portal. I'm able to, but my parents, for example, would not be computer savvy. Getting paperwork done can take a long time, & the fees add up. I've been with this office for years, in the hopes Dr. Perez would return to seeing patients. I'm not sure how much longer I can hold out. Normally I would give him five stars, because he's great. But the way things have been the last couple years, it makes it really difficult to be a patient of his office.

My experience with the doctors has been fine and I would recommend Dr. Perez to anyone on the basis of his knowledge, friendliness and attentiveness. Scheduling appointments has been easy through the portal. However....If you are trying to get a hold of someone for any reason other than setting up an appointment especially concerning referrals then good luck. Emails and portal messages are never responded to and if they are it takes at least a week (they ask for 48hrs but have never responded in that amount of that time). When it comes to calling you probably have a better change of getting through to a radio dj to try and win something then getting through their automated system which will recycle you through the menu multiple times before you reach someone...if you reach someone. My biggest complaint is the amount of time it has take to receive referrals. I have been waiting for two referrals for over a month. One was sent out bu

A few years ago, I would have given Dr Perez a much higher review, but over the past year or so, his level of on-going patient care & support has greatly diminished. It’s almost impossible to get him to process refills in a timely manner. His staff will not answer the phone and will only communicate with you electronically (and only at their convenience) regardless of how urgent your concerns are. His staff is unable to communicate timelines regarding his performance of basic duties, nor do they seem able to follow up with him directly regarding issues and concerns. I’ve never had a provider act with such indifference towards those that depend on them for their most basic medical needs.

Dr. Perez is the best PCP and overall (any field) best doctor I have ever had. He supported and was very caring and understanding through my 2 Brain surgeries for Epilepsy. He is more than just a good doctor, he is something we no longer see, a Doctor who looks out for more than just financial earnings, but your best interests for health. Dr. Perez is one of the most impressive members of the medical profession that I have ever met. He is incredibly intelligent and his multi-disciplinary background makes him very capable. He is exceptionally attentive and caring. He is a great listener, non-judgmental, and displays a high degree of empathy. Combined with his willingness to answer your questions and consider and incorporate your input it feels like a partnership where the top priority is your wellness, health and quality of life.

Dr. Perez is definitely the most competent medical professional I have ever met. He cares a lot about his patients and is always there to answer your questions.
