The 2 receptionists are Great!! They greet you with a smile and respect. Dr. Gupta is another story. He’s RUDE, shows no concerns, Don’t explained procedures or diagnosis. The WORST bed side manners. Highly unprofessional, Horrible provider, you feel rushed so he could see his next patient. I was given a card for another doctor with no explanation and diagnoses. Will not be recommended.

During the time I was a patient of Dr.Gupta's, I was in the midst of a "rough patch" and had gained a significant amount of weight. During my first consultation with him as my primary care physician, he asked if I had "always been overweight." I began my response by saying, "Well, I've always been a little overweight..." before I could finish my sentence he cut me off to remark, "It's more than a little." If he had bothered to let me finish speaking he would have heard me go on to discuss why I had gained so much recently. After that, the trust was gone, and I just shut down and didn't finish speaking on that topic. He also refused to continue prescribing me an "as-needed" anxiety medication that I had been prescribed for ten years prior (by other physicians) because they "don't prescribe that sort of thing here."

When Dr. Rom Gupta's staff, (Maria and Sharmin), welcomed me into their very clean and organized office, located in Jamaica, NY, they were extremely polite and friendly. They followed the required social distances and screening for the COVID 19 and I noticed that they didn't overbook appointments. The wait was short before they quickly processed my insurance paperwork and skillfully took my vitals. Dr. Rom Gupta nicely greeted me and discussed my situation in laymen's terms. Further, he explained where and how my planned procedure would take place and he allowed for me to ask any additional questions, which he answered. Dr. Gupta is very professional and I would highly recommend his services.

I was greated with a smile at the front desk. My time in the waiting room was brief. I waited less than 5 minutes in the examination room. Dr. Gupta was a soft spoken compassionate man. He showed a genuine concern by asking questions and digging deeper to find the underlying cause for the issue at hand.

Horrible provider that doesn't care about his patents! You will regret going to him! Has zero bedside manner and is very unprofessional! He's a joke with a license that needs to be revoked! Save your time and money and find a more reputable physician

First Impressions are so important. My husband had a first-time appointment with Dr. Gupta. He recently had a colostomy and was looking for a doctor a PCP and specialty in Gastoenterology.. 1) he wasn't seen by Dr. Gupta AT ALL. He wasn't seen at by a P.A. Second, the PA didn't take his pressure, his temperature nor look at his medical records. Dr. Gupta never came out to see him, as a first-time patient. If you treat your first time patients like this I don't want you as a doctor.

Dr. Gupta is an top notch physician with excellent bedside manners. I highly recommend him, especially with a colonoscopy. I was very nervous, uncomfortable and hesitant to get my first colonoscopy. But the entire process was very fast and smooth. I did not feel a thing because I was put to sleep.

I have to say this is the worst ever doctor that I have seen for my mother's GI problems. He gave my mother a diagnosis of colon cancer without being empathetic, highly unprofessional!!!!! He was in the room literally for 2 minutes to give this grave diagnosis and didn't let the family sink in through the whole process. I felt I was rushed through when he was in the room and wouldn't recommend him to any family friends or even strangers.
