Judgmental & Insensitive
I was switched to this “provider” a year ago when my previous one left for a different practice. I was on medication that needed refilled and after talking with her she said she would not prescribe it because I was not on birth control. I’ve never taken birth control because it doesn’t agree with my body but regardless, if I was to get pregnant then I would stop the medication. I had my yearly appointment not too long ago and I was around 12 weeks pregnant. She came in the room and said “I can’t do anything for you since you’re pregnant, I don’t see pregnant women.” Mind you, I was here for an annual exam and nothing more. I asked if she could prescribe a nose spray for congestion and she said her computer wouldn’t let her. The OBGYN said that was a lie and that she just had to proceed through it. She also asked who the father was if it was just me and my kids at home… very insensitive and rude. There are many types of situations where the father does not live at home.

I feel like she does care but she made me feel bad about myself for needing the medication I take. Some of her staff are just awful. My first appointment was moved twice. The second time I went in and they had no record of me having an appointment. She did see me that day. Over the last couple of days I have been trying to get my script refilled and it needed a prior authorization. One of her staff told me two days ago she would get it taken care of. As of today, nothing has been sent through or even started. I was told very rudely, that they were short staffed and had an entire stack of prior authorizations to get to and it was not going to be anytime soon. That they'd get to it when they get to it... I still remained calm and kind to her (maybe she was having a bad day) but apparently me and several other patients will be without medication until further notice and that is just unacceptable. I've never been put through so much grief to receive basic care and miss my prior doctor!

She is a wonderful Doctor, really takes time to explain things, and cares about her patients. She does take off more than most doctors but I felt that was okay due to the care she took with me. I am sad to have moved out of state wish I could take her with me!

After enduring this doctor after mine mysteriously “retired” I am thankful to have fired her. She treats everything with meds and I have become weary of saying I cannot take Lyrica, as I am a recovering alcoholic. She asked me to take it every time I went to her office, even though she should have known better. She doesn’t take enough time to address all concerns and she won’t fill out FLMA paperwork correctly. I was forced to have an urgent care doctor do it for me. That’s shameful.

Dr. Malik is the most compassionate doctor I've ever met in my lifetime. I feel very blessed to have her as my Dr. She's saving my life without even realizing. I will Never go to anyone else, as she's the only doctor I've ever felt I could trust in the first visit! She doesn't force anything or try to over drug me. Great doctor, hands down!

Dr Malik is the best. She has called me personally at least 3 times to followup and updates on medicine, testing. The front office is great and is easy to get appointment and talk to nurse. I have been to several Dr's offices trying to get a caring Family Dr and Dr Malik is the most compassionate caring Dr. ..

She didn't listen to my concerns or why I made the appointment. It took several calls and 4 weeks before my scripts were called in. She gave the impression she had better things to do.
