Only those who ACT get treatment
If there was a way, I would strip his medical license and deport him! He 'didn't care what my MRIs said!' I 'didn't act like I was in pain.' Those of us in chronic pain who don't want people feeling sorry for us get cut so badly he forever screws that patient!

He needs to go! – Mar 29, 2025

Prejudges; TOXIC office environment
I went to Dr.W for pain management for previous injuries. I had 17 surgeries as a result of breaking my lower back in a motorcycle accident. The very 1st thing that Dr.W wanted to do is more surgery. He was not deterred by the fact that I have Leukemia & my Immune System is severely compromised. 5X!!! Dr.W pushed for surgery. 5X I said 'NO' & explained extensively my health conditions & the fact that both of my second opinions by back surgeons recommended NO MORE SURGERIES!!! It became difficult to make appointments since they do NOT return phone calls. The Office Manager & the Office staff are TOXIC and unprofessional. I now have another Specialist who listens, cares & doesn't push surgeries. They requested my medical records from Roswell so they know my complete medical needs. And they return phone calls too!!

I've had a more responsible and professional response from my cat's veterinarian than this doctor's office. Almost 4 weeks ago I called to schedule an appointment. My primary physician sent a referral. Their outgoing message says someone will call you back. I left at least 3 messages and they never called back. My primary doctor's office manager spoke to their office and said they would call me over 3 weeks ago. Still nothing. This doctor and his staff should be ashamed of themselves. They can't even do the decent thing and return my calls or my primary doctor's office manager's calls. I hope everyone one in WNY reads this and this person who calls themselves a doctor and is supposedly a compassionate care giver who took the Hippocratic oath ends up living at the city mission.

The Dr. is very caring. His office staff leaves a lot to be desired. The office manager is rude and nasty. What she says goes. They bill before insurance has even paid and insist that they can bill "whatever and whenever" they want. If I could find another pain management Dr., I would switch in a hot minute. When I approached the Dr. about her, he acknowledged that she is nasty and walked away. I am at wits end, I don't even know what my next step will be.

Long time patient – May 20, 2021

My intermittent lower back pain went chronic in early 2018. Eventually I consulted Dr. W. He recommended an epidural (for spinal stenosis). First one only lasted a few weeks; second one lasted about 2 months; third was the magic bullet. No pain since (now 2021).

I am so glad I finally decided to go see Dr. Waghmarae for pain management. I have a not well known bone tumor condition and had tried (I thought) everything before seeking pain management. He and his staff are friendly, warm and very caring. He took the time to personally review all my imaging and the reports from my specialists. I had been told many times by different doctors that they had never seen this before, didnt know how to approach treatment etc. Not so with Dr. Waghmarae, he understood immediately after reviewing my imaging that I have bone pain which is quite severe. He did not require me to stop treatment with my other specialists, including the PRP injections I get elsewhere that his office also offers, nor did he ask me to stop seeing any of my other specialists. I am generally cared for in NYC for the main problem and I was so surprised when he looked at my imaging and agreed radiation treatment would be the best course since so very many doctors did not know how to ma

I would never recommend this dr. He tells you to do things and then turns it against you when you do it. I.e., doesn’t believe you when you explain your pain level. Insists that you’re lying. Because he has been told to reduce what he prescribes by the board, he blindly reduces pain meds for people who really need it to have any quality of life. He also refuses to speak with you when you catch him making a mistake. Instead, he uses his subordinates to get rid of you as a patient. The attitudes of his staff are the worst I have ever seen by any medical office. Frankly I’m quite surprised he has been practicing medicine all these years. Worst Dr. I’ve ever seen

My family member saw the NP. Has been treated by a pain specialist for debilitating pain following back surgery for many years. Never a problem, treated with epidurals, PT, and meds. After the regular pain specialist retired, was sent to this joker. While seeking pain control, was treated like an addict by the NP and was not only refused treatment, but referred for therapy saying she was drug seeking. The NP offered NO other treatment to relieve pain and she didn’t want to order pain pills. Pre-judging patients new patients in pain and a lack of compassion is their specialty. Hope she’s ready to report to the state board on her conduct.

Dr. Wagmarae is compassionate and highly skilled. He has been able to relieve the pain in my foot by prescribing a compound cream rather than pain killers taken orally that go through the blood stream and can become addictive.

I have seen Dr. Waghamare for many years until I moved out of state. I requested my medical records. They would not give them to me. They only send them to providers or they would charge .75 per page. When I came in to fill out the forms, I heard them talk crap about me and other patients in the wait room. Very disrespectful!

I have been to a lot of doctors due to back pain, have had many surgeries and Dr. Waghmarae has been my Dr for almost 20 yrs and really seems to care and try different things to manage my pain. The only thing negative I can say is that sometimes the wait is long but a lot better than it used to be.

Talks too fast. Doesn't listen and it shows in follow up appointments, because he doesn't remember why you are following up. This also suggests he doesn't write down anything you say either. The office is grossly ineffective and has failed processing claims correctly. It is extremely difficult to coordinate with them.

while I haven't actually seen Dr. Waghmarae, I would like to leave my review about Sara Brandel, the PA I see at the office. She is VERY thorough. I am 100% confident she has my best interest in mind and actually is trying to help me figure out what's wrong as well as figure out the best approach. I am VERY satisfied and would recommend this practice to anyone.
