Dr Silkiss and her Team are the BEST
Dr Silkiss & her team are excellent! It was easy to make an appointment & get in to see her on short notice - which was impressive as most specialists take 2 months or longer to see. Her team is professional, accommodating & super efficient - I was thoroughly examined & knew I was in the best care possible. Dr Silkiss gave me a thorough diagnosis & answered all my questions concerning my severe under eye swelling. I left my appointment finally having answers to my situation which was huge! After seeing a few specialists - Dr Silkiss is the doctor who diagnosed me correctly. Thank you Dr Silkiss & your team! I highly recommend!

Intelligent, caring, talented, conscientious
Intelligent, caring, talented, conscientious...four words to describe Dr. Silkiss. She guided me through a diagnosis of thyroid eye disease, recommending the use of a biologic and ultimately decompression and eyelid surgery. She is knowledgeable and comprehensive in her approach to diagnosis and treatment. Surgically, she is a miracle worker! I look and feel like I did before the Graves diagnosis. I am thankful I found Dr. Silkiss

Excellent Experience
Dr. Silkiss is the best. I had cosmetic upper eyelid surgery and she did a phenomenal job. My eyes look great and recovery was a breeze with minimal bruising or downtime. I loved Dr. Silkiss’s manner and her staff were also polite and professional. My only advice is to remember that she’s busy and in demand because she is so good. So if by chance you end up waiting a bit for your appointment, believe me, she is worth the wait!

Incredible Doctor
I have seen Dr. Silkiss several times during 2024, and even though my diagnosis shifted from being an area of her direct specialty, she continued to research and contact me and communicate about possible diagnosis and treatments. As far as a doctor, who’s very knowledgeable in their field, but also goes way beyond the norm to provide excellent patient care. Dr. Silkiss is simply incredible.

Outstanding Surgeon
Dr. Silkiss treated me for Ectropion after Desmoplastic Melanoma facial surgery. She is a no nonsense, highly skilled and caring surgeon. I feel very fortunate to have been the recipient of her very exceptional surgical skills and professional care! Dr. Silkiss is, without question, a Bay Area treasure!

Doctor is a TED specialist
I had TED many years ago. Dr. Silkiss offered a medication that was being studied and asked if I would like to participate. She explained it well (pros and cons) and since it was 'hope' I tried the procedure. It worked wonderfully and stopped the progression. I believe it and other similar medications are now FDA-approved. She and other specialists she worked with corrected the damage to my eyes which saved my sight and corrected the cosmetic damage. Dr. Silkiss was compassionate throughout my journey and answered all my questions with patience and kindness. I recommend her highly.

SIMPLY THE BEST!!!
Dr. Silkiss is phenomenal!! As a 30-year(!) patient of Dr. Silkiss, I am incredibly grateful for her ongoing care and compassion. After developing a disfiguring and unresolvable Bell's Palsy, she began treating me for a chronic hemifacial spasm. I give Dr. Silkiss full credit for preventing the loss of vision in my left eye. IMO, Dr. Silkiss is the best reconstructive and aesthetic ophthalmic surgeon in the Bay Area. I have also trusted her with two surgeries with perfect results. She is a brilliant, expert surgeon, clearly the most important factor when you are undergoing a procedure, but it is her genuine compassion for her patients that make her truly special. Dr. Silkiss has a successful, busy practice, so it may be challenging to schedule an appointment, but you can count on her undivided attention to expertly diagnose, advise and clearly explain your options. Worth it!

I look years younger!
Dr. Silkiss did both my upper and lower blepharoplasty and the results even just 3 days post-surgery are truly incredible! During my initial consultation appointment, Dr. Silkiss listened carefully, answered all my questions and really took the time to explain the procedures and what I could expect. It was also very convenient as she has multiple office and surgery locations. I didn’t have to travel far or deal with traffic. The surgery center was also exceptional from the Anesthesiologist to the wonderful surgical RNs and office staff. Surgery with Dr. Silkiss has taken years off my appearance and I could not be more grateful. If you are considering eye surgery I highly recommend Dr. Silkiss! I’m so glad after much research and consideration I chose her as my surgeon. Thank you Silkiss Eye Surgery!

If there were a 0 star option, I would give it
This doctor visit was THE WORST experience. I couldn't believe it. She even sent in an exact medication that I told her I have an allergic reaction with to the pharmacy. When I confronted her about it all she said was "I'm doing the best I can." What if I took it and was careless like you? Does she not check her records what type of antibiotics she prescribed me before? During eye surgery she was going to make an incision in an area of my eye I didn't even know was a problem. Perhaps you could have brought this to your patient's attention first before you decide to cut them open? When I was surprised and asked her about it, she said "I don't want to argue. If you don't like what we do here, you can find another doctor." Are patients not allowed to know what is actually happening with their eyes? When I sent her a one-page email weeks after the surgery because I wasn't getting any better, she simply wrote back with a few words "Sometimes they can be Stubborn." Very upsetting

I had a real nasty infection near my eye caused by a visit w/t a different Doc. He tried to resolve the issue but could not. Dr. Silkiss got the job done, prescribed the correct remedy & the right meds & her Fees was reasonable. She’s also gentle and exact. Dr. Silkiss is a real professional and she conducts herself that way as opposed to some docs I’ve visited who wanted to be my BFF & sell me procedures. I’ve recommended her to my family, so yes, I hold her in high regard. She’s now my “face & Eye” Doctor for life.

Took our 2 year old in to evaluate her eyelid.Dr. Silkiss told her not to scream because her ears hurt? (She was 2!)When it came time to evaluate, she didn't even come close to my daughter, she looked from her chair and said almost indifferently "I don't see anything in her eye." We paid $200 for the visit, didn't even get checked, and baby's eye still in pain.Dr. Silkiss, an ophthalmologist saw her a few days later and removed an eye lash growing inwardly. You should have seen that! Heartless!!

I have never had a worse experience with a Dr.!!! My consultation was scheduled weeks in advance; yet I waited almost 2 hours to see this lady. She came in, no explanation for my wait, asked why I was there, pulled down on my eyelid and said I needed surgery. There was no explanation about the procedure or clarification if both eyes needed to be done. I asked for examples of the procedure and was told to check on line (this would be generic photos - not her work). Very rude. Only 15 min.

After 2 months of wait, I had a 5 pm appointment at her WC office on Friday Sept 1st. They charged my credit card $225 upfront fee. I waited until 6:30 in the waiting room before I was admitted and only to be seen by two others who did unrelated eye exams and recorded everything wrong in the computer as I was watching them type. I left at 6:40 still not seen by her. I have not received an email or call explaining this very unprofessional treatment or refund of my fee. Very disappointing.
