Dr. Ronald Bruce, DO

First visit to establish care. Dr. Bruce spent a lot of time reviewing each component of my health history including asking questions and listening to my responses. He provided education and offered recommendations along the way. Rare to find a Dr. like this given the constraints of insurance requirements in this day and age. Appreciated his time, expertise and compassion. Thank you, Dr. Bruce!

Tried to get medical records to a specialist out of town. Was 1st refused. Then told records were sent but would not provide the confirmation they were sent. Then told the fax line was busy 3 times so they stopped trying. Then drove 130 miles round trip to the specialist office to sign a release for the records. Dr. Bruce's staff still refused to send them. Then refused to provide directly to me even though offered to pay for them which they previously said they would do. Finally had to threaten to report to agencies and they were provided to me. Now will have to drive another 130 miles round trip to deliver to the specialist so an appt. can be made.One and a half months and 260 miles later, the records will make it to the specialist.Thank God this was not life threatening.

Couldn't get past the unbelievably rude and ignorant staff.

Dr. Bruce is great. He takes his time and makes sure you understand your info. The only negative is the front desk. We have never spoken to her when she's not rude. She needs to get a new job not dealing with people.

Dr. Bruce is an excellent phycian and I appreciate his careful and common sense approach to medical care. His nursing staff is also excellent. However patients must wear "attitude armor" when dealing with the front office staff. This is also the person you will deal with on the phone. She will be rude, dismissive, and combative. She has been there a long time so she will not get better, just expect the treatment. Dr. Bruce is worth ignoring her.

Dr Bruce is one of the most caring doctors I have ever had. He makes one feel that they are the most important patient he has all day. He employs capable office staff and nurses. I look forward to going to the doctor if its Doc Bruce I am going to see.

Dr. Bruce is a fine doctor who has, unfortunately, got a combative front desk staff. While his patient load increased dramatically after Hurricane Harvey, Dr. Bruce still took time for thorough exams. I never felt rushed. However, the change in the administrative staff's level of customer service has gone from polite and efficient to curt and dismissive, and increasingly argumentative and rude. It is a shame, because it does not reflect the quality of this doctor.

Front desk people are the worse very unprofessional rude worst I have ever seen!! Dr never got my birth date right on prescription had to return to office was treated like it was my fault. Do not recommend.

Dr. Bruce has always made the right diagnosis when I have had issues. He listens attentively to what you tell him about your ailments and gets you back on your feet quickly. He has a great staff that is always there to help with refills and any other questions. I highly recommend Dr Bruce to everyone.

Dr. Bruce is the best! We moved out of the area two years ago but we intended to continue with him. Sadly, however, our insurance wouldn't cover the appointments. Our loss. If you are looking for a primary care doctor, you can't find one better! Our thoughts are with him and hope his office survived Hurricane Harvey.

Dr. Bruce is a kind, compassionate, and highly-skilled personal physician. His "bedside manner" and attentive care for his patients is among the very best. However, the same cannot be said about his Front Office Staff who continue to exhibit an astonishing degree of unprofessionalism, insensitivity, and indifference to patient feelings, needs or issues. Their telephone etiquette is among the worst that I have ever experienced ... (unavailability to accept calls, call back as promised, etc.).
