Dr. Ronald Frenkel, MD

Regarding if working with Dr Frenkel or one of his associates, the level of detail and care is exemplary. He helped with several issues over the years. The key is their follow-up care over the years insures my sight stays intact, and that nothing changes.

Dr. Frenkel performed cataract surgery with implant on both eyes. Could not be more pleased. I have had a wonderful outcome. I worked for a wonderful ophthalmologist in the 70’s and had a lot of anxiety going into surgery because of the “old way” surgery was performed. Dr. Frenkel put me at complete ease. He is kind and caring. Explained my upcoming procedure and took the time to answer all my questions. The advancement in surgery is incredible. Dr. Frenkel’s office staff is professional and kind. The surgery center doctors, nurses and staff were kind and comforting. I am blessed to be under Dr. Frenkel’s expert care.

Testing took a long time but time spent with Dr Frankel was minimal. He breezes in and out of the office and does not spend time speaking to the patient. He seems to be unable to retain staff, doctors included. If I have questions about a procedure he has his girl explain it. I don’t want his girl telling me about it, I want the person doing the surgery to explain it. I am considering moving to a new practice where I will hopefully receive some compassion and caring and see the same doctor each time.

I have worn glasses since 1957 with severe myopia and astigmatism in both eyes. I developed cataracts and Dr Frenkel performed surgery on both eyes. The results are great - I no longer need to wear glasses.

Doctor F is amazing and is very attentive. He is very very thorough and his treatment of his patients is number one for sure. The staff in this office is far beyond any doctors office. They are so friendly, have great personalities and yes even have great sense of humor (especially to put up with mine). When you go to a doctors office for any procedure the nervousness sky rockets. well these ladies are amazing how they have the ability to keep the patients calm

Dr frankel is a great eye doctor and i am very pleased with his care, I am about to have a pterygium removed and even though my insurance doesnt cover most of it and i dont have much money I am going withh him because of the recent carerac surgery he just did. 5+++ stars

I was having trouble with my left eye, I had had cataract surgery on it 10 years ago and it was very blurry. I went to Dr. Frenkel, he lasered it and within a day I can see like I had from the very beginning. I highly recommend Dr. Frankel.

I have been a patient of Dr. Frenkel's for 20 years. He has taken wonderful care of my glaucoma, allowing me the freedom of drops. Dr. Frenkel also did Cataract surgery on both eyes, this was complicated due to the fact that I had RK surgery before moving to Florida. I now have 20/20 vision. His staff is caring and one of the best things about his office is that you are not left sitting there, your appointments are right on time. If you are in need of a great opthamologist Dr. Frenkel is the one.

I had cataract surgery on both eyes. I am very pleased with Dr. Frenkel and his staff, as well I am super happy with the Laser surgery and Toric lens. I would recommend Dr. Frenkel to anyone in need of treatment.

I have known Dr Frenkel for many many years, I completely trust him with the critical care of my eyes. His staff and office are wonderful and most helpful in all of their positions and services. Dr Frenkel just preformed surgery in both my eyes with complete success and I haven’t seen so well since a very young child. There was no doubt and I had complete confidence in him and find that his knowledge, compassion and care Is equally important to him.

I was impressed by the thoroughness of each step from discussion of my options, the procedure/s, and cost. The pre-and post-op instructions were comprehensive; the staff informed. The doctor's demeanor was encouraging throughout, and the results surpassed my expectations!

Dr. Frenkel performed cataract surgery on my left eye in February 2020. The surgery was much easier than I thought; and virtually pain free. I develop a slight (RARE) complication due to my autoimmune disease about a week later. Dr. Frenkel had to perform minor subsequent surgery in his office. (Again, virtually pain free!) my surgery on my right eye went without complication and the procedure and recovery were painless. My vision is now almost as good as it was when I was 20! (I am 72) I cannot recommend Dr. Frenkel and his friendly, efficient and compassionate office staff highly enough. 5 stars are not enough! EFET is a 10!!

I have visited Dr. Frenkel on several occasions with various eye issues, it is a busy office but they provide excellent vision care. Most recently Dr. Frenkel performed my first cataract surgery and I am really pleased with the result; 20/20 vision without glasses.

I am in my 70’s and have worn glasses for severe astigmatism since I was 8 years old. In my youth, I had to wear glasses playing sports and even under my helmet driving open wheel racing cars. I also have had to wear separate glasses for reading since my early 40’s. I developed cataracts in both eyes and the left became so bad that I couldn’t read a speed limit sign at 75 yards. I also took a medication that can complicate cataract surgery. After testing, Dr. Ronald Frenkel recommended laser surgery with a toric lens implant. He performed the surgery without any complications and I now have 20/20 bright vision in my left eye. I no longer need glasses to drive or watch TV with that eye. I can’t wait for Dr. Frenkel to perform the same procedure for my right eye!

Dr. Frenkel is an excellent surgeon. Had my cateract done. He explained everything, including risks and complications. Technicians and office staff are excellent. Testing done in office. Sometimes a bit of a wait on busy days. Highly recommend.

I had to quit driving because my depth perception was so bad 7 I couldnt see anything clearly due to cataracts. Had the right eye done in November. Amazed at the results/ Had the left eye done in January, a week later I am almost at 20/20 vision. I am thrilled! Dr. Frenkel explained everything so I understood what to expect. The staff was amazing both in the office & at the Treasure Coast Surgery Center. I have already recommended Dr Frenkel & my friend has an appointment next week.
