Attentive, Thoughtful, and Honest
Dr George treats me for psoriatic arthritis. He is very attentive and truly listens to what you have to say. When I first started seeing him, one of the first things he did was give me his personal cell number and told me to call or text him anytime if I ever needed him. I would highly recommend.

Healthcare with Dr. George
Dr. George has been caring for me about five years. The field of Rheumatology is complex and medications prescribed are complicated. I am drug sensitive so he and I work together to find solutions from what I feel is a controversial Pharmaceuticals industry. He is attentive, diligent and knows my idiosyncrasies. This is what good relationships are all about. Buildng trust.

Compassion and Patient Advocacy
My husband and I are both treated by Dr. George for different conditions. Recently, when my husband's care was delayed due to heavy scheduling in a testing area, Dr George stepped up to reenforce the "stat" order, sparing my husband prolonged pain and easing my stress over his suffering. We did not demand or beg. We did not have to. We simply asked why it was taking so long when there was so much suffering, and he stepped in and fixed the problem. That is compassion. That is real advocacy.

Dr. George and all his staff were very helpful, thorough, kind and supportive. Dr. George was very validating of concerns and a great diagnostician. He really listened to me so I felt heard and understood. He completed all orders, referrals, prescriptions right away so my follow up care was ready at check out. I felt well cared for and positive about future outcomes. Thanks for such a great experience.

I can’t sing the praises enough regarding my visit to Dr. George. What a kind, considerate, compassionate man. He was so thorough! I had basically given up hope that I would have to put up with my condition with no options . Not so with Dr. George! He gave me hope to try many things to incorporate into my daily routine. And that’s just Dr. George. Every staff member I met was so friendly and just plain nice. What a wonderful experience I had that day. Again, I can’t sing their praises enough.

Disappointed. He seems to care more about himself and all of the other things he has going on after the first appointment. He needs to get back to caring about people and helping them. He seems like he prescribes steroids for absolutely everything.

I believe Dr. George may be a good choice if you have any kind of arthritis besides osteoarthritis. He had x-rays done of my knees, and confirmed it was osteoarthritis. After that, his advice was to exercise, give up my Meloxicam (dangerous) and take ibuprophen, and start using CBD. He told me not to come back, but I could call for a referral to a surgeon if I wanted to do that. Since then, I saw an orthopedic surgeon on my own. He also did x-rays, and he told me I was bone-on-bone, had multiple bone spurs, and deformities in both knees. He also said it was obvious it had been coming on for a long time. Dr. George never told me any of that. It would have been nice if Dr. George had explained that to me and tell me what my options were. I don't know why he didn't.

What a pleasure Dr. GEORGE has proven to be! After 4 previous experiences with Rheumatology doctors, I was becoming despondent, believing it impossible to find a good rheumatologist. He is direct, enlightened and informative. I particularly like his efficiency, being proactive in prescribing alternate treatments when it seemed my current regimen wasn't working. His staff is terrific too - the best I've experienced; when it comes to paperwork and follow up - they're on it. If you're looking for a great doctor and support group, then look no further than Dr. Ronald George and his team. I rarely give reviews but found it appropriate for this doctor.

Dr. George is very professional, personable, and genuinely concerned with the well being and health of his patients has been my experience. Observes overall issues and noticed issues on my last visit and ushered me in in to see another specialist in their group the same morning concerning a new issue that got his attention.

It is a sad state of affairs when your child has a newly discovered lifelong illness and the doctor can't take his eyes off of his computer to answer her questions, or look her in the eyes and explain what is going on. He literally never got off of his computer until he was ready to walk out of the room. So sad. I think he must hate what he does, maybe he needs to think about his future and how his patients perceive him. We will find another doctor. PS: None of the testing we have asked to be to referred to has happened either, it has been months.

Dr. George spent about 10 minutes with me, initially, and hasn't appeared since. My polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) was apparently stable, so subsequent appointments have been with his PA, Elizabeth Benfield. In my opinion, Elizabeth Benfield is a superb practitioner who ought to go get her MD.

Don't waste your time or money. First visit, he spent 10 minutes in the room. He did lab work and I went back in 2 months. My ANA was positive, CRP was elevated, C3 was high, IGE was thru the roof, among some other things. He came into the room and said, "Well, all of your test results are negative. I said, "My ANA was positive.", and he said "Barely." He said I was fine, but he wants to see me back in 6 months. ?? I don't think so. "Barely", I still can't get over that.

Sees you for 15 minutes doesn’t listen at all. Will just keep adding medicines and when you question it complain about side effects and treatment he tells you to find another doctor and claims you are unmotivated to get better. CMA is also very unprofessional and rude. Filing a complaint with Wilmington health, Tricare and the NC medical board.
