My primary care physician sent me in for a lung biopsy. At the hospital, prior to the procedure, Dr. Irsik advised me of the substantial risks related to the procedure and informed me that the nodule in question had not grown in the previous 3 mos. as opposed to what I had previously been told. I did not have the biopsy and will follow up with a pulmonologist. He might have saved me from the potential (25% odds) lung collapse of a healthy lung.
