SHAMEFUL! This doctor doesn't care about you.
My mother, a geriatric patient, had been a patient of Dr. Horan for many, many years. Initially, mom was happy with her. As of the last few years, however, her demeanor has become quite nasty. She seems bothered during the appointments. She was condescending toward my mother and admonished her for health issues she was dealing with, essentially blaming her for not eating right or staying active enough. During our last (and FINAL) visit, she told my mother it was time for her to move into a nursing home!! She said the issues my mom was dealing with were 'above her pay grade.' Wow. Her insensitive lack of compassion and combative nature is alarming. It took several more months to find a new doctor and specialist that could help. It turned out that my mother had a pancreatic tumor that caused her health issues and she was immediately booked for surgery. If you are looking for a caring and compassionate doctor, do yourself a favor and KEEP LOOKING. This doctor should retire.

Patient 18+ years!
Dr Horan has been my doc for 18+ years. She has always been compassionate & thorough. I believe that due to corporate powers that be - practices have changed, ie, time allotted or issues discussed are strictly enforced. She’s a great doc and knows her stuff! She does not deserve these bad reviews.

She was rude, disrespectful, condescending, raised her voice to me and didnt care what I had to say. She stormed out of the room with an attitude and didn't take the time to ask her medical assistant to reapply a dressing to an open wound on my leg that was being treated for an infection. I had to walk out of ths room after she discharged me to request someone to apply a dressing to an open leg wound. It was an embarrassment she actually had a young innocent medical student shadowing her setting such a very poor example. From one health care professional to another....if your that burned out and forgot where you came from, can't treat patients respectfully without being condescending and raising your voice to them perhaps you should change your career and do something else. There are plenty of great competent family practioners out there with an excellent bedside manner that actually take pride and enjoy caring for patients so don't waste your time with Dr. Horan.

I was in a car accident and was rear ended. She told she had rear-ended someone and the person who hit me didn't do it on purpose.. I had to come back a few times because I was in so much pain. She prescribed pain medication that I should not of taken with other meds she prescribed for another issue. Needless to say when I brought this up to her she was rude and seem offended that I would even question her. Did not go back to her. And I had found out from friends she was rude to them also.

I've been with Dr. Horan for a few years. I trust her and know she will listen to my concerns at each visit. I had an issue with my family history of breast cancer and she referred me to another physician for my next steps- I really appreciate how thorough she was for this issue, referring me to ensure I received the best treatment. I also truly appreciated her honesty with this situation. Even for my annuals, I feel Dr. Horan is thorough, friendly, honest, and knowledgable. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Horan.

I went in for a number of health issues. Rather than having a thoughtful discussion, she just seemed really combative.

Offered appt same day for annual exam as someone had cancelled. I informed receptionist I would tentatively take the appt as I had to check with work to see if I could leave early. She said to call right back & if she didn't answer, to leave a VM. I called, left a VM stating that I couldn't make the appt. Later in the day received a call that I would be charged a SAME DAY CANCEL FEE & that my voicemail was never received. Incompetent front desk staff, I was done an injustice. I work in medicine.

I have been going to Dr. Horan for about 15 years and I can not say enough about her. I have had a bad experience with her. She is professional and spot on with any diagnosis she has given me. The doctor has had to referred me to specialists and they were just as professional as Dr. Horan. She listens to everything you say and then gives you the once over. I completely trust her!

I think Dr. Horan hates life and takes it out on her patients. She is condescending and combative as a previous patient said in her review. She is very difficult to talk to and is bothered by anything you say to her. I would tell anyone considering her, to think again.

She has great bedside manner and is always spot on with her medical diagnosis. She is a wonderful doctor that I have been with for over 10 years. She has also referred me to some great specialists over the years. I never have to wait long in her office either. Even though I do not feel rushed at her appointments, she manages to stay on time. The office is accommodating when you need to schedule an emergency exam as well.

Dr. Horan is an excellent practitioner. She is well respected in her field and has diagnosed several conditions for me and my daughter over the phone with stunning accuracy. I put my complete trust in Dr. Horan. She is one of the best doctors out there and her patients attest to this every day. I know - I am in the healthcare field myself and when I mention her name I hear nothing but exemplary reviews. She's definitely one of the good ones.

Roseann Horan is an excellent practitioner and diagnostician. Her bedside manner is impeccable and she is extremely caring and knowledgeable. I wish all doctors were this pleasant and easy to talk to. Her office staff was much more friendly than her last office's staff as well.

As soon as she walked into the room I knew I had made a big mistake switching to Dr. Horan as my primary. She was cold, uncaring, condescending, and combative over any little thing I said. She negated all of my previous doctor's findings, and she was wrong, I did my research and saw another doctor who verified this. For specializing in women's health I think she has an atrocious bedside manner. I left in tears. Once was enough seeing her. Very unpleasant experience.
