Unacceptable
My PCP is on leave and so I was assigned to this doctor. At least three times during my appointment she asked me what I thought was wrong. This after I had described my symptoms. Totally unacceptable. I would never go back to her and I wouldn’t recommend anyone see her. Very disappointing.

I'm extremely disappointed with the level of care I received during my recent visit to my primary physician. Despite scheduling an appointment to discuss important medical concerns and obtain referrals, I was only given a rushed five minutes of the doctor's time. Not only did this leave me feeling unheard and neglected, but it also failed to address my medical needs adequately. As a result, I'm now actively seeking a new primary care doctor who values patient communication and provides the attention and care necessary for optimal health outcomes

Awful
One of the worst doctor visits - definitely did not care, did not take the time to listen to what I had to say and once I shared all my issues she said, 'what do you want me to do about it?'. A ridiculous question for a doctor to ask.

Not a good, nor caring Doctor
Dr. Shameem of Kaiser does not give adequate consideration to the symptoms you tell her about. Instead, she brushes off your symptoms based on statistics and age believing that everything is ruled out and advising to take better care of yourself. When you already take high care of your health and body and practice a healthy lifestyle but still have certain symptoms that are dismissed, something is wrong. However, Dr. Shameem is not for people with real concerns, nor Kaiser as a whole, is a good health insurance provider.

I went to Dr. Shameem for a virtual doctor's visit about a potential injury to my leg after falling in the shower. At the very end of my visit, she said I need to work on my weight, which was completely unrelated to my appointment. She didn't take any patient history during my appointment, since we were really only talking about an acute injury. Therefore, she gave her thoughts on my weight without realizing that the only time I have successfully lost weight was when I was suicidal in college and starving myself. It was completely irresponsible for her to give advice on such a complex issue without taking even a basic history on the topic. I was absolutely distraught after the appointment, and I needed to take time afterwards to calm down and not get sucked into a negative/destructive headspace. Please, try to find a different doctor if possible, for your own good.

I've never encountered a medical provider like this in my life. Both my mother and I began seeing Dr. Shameem after we switched our insurance to Kaiser. She was very insensitive and very judgmental to us both the entire time. She even refused to write me a simple birth control prescription (same one I've been on for the past few years) because she said BC is against her beliefs...This was after I took off the only day I could from work to renew my prescription. Don't even get me started on the way she treated my mother. I would never recommend her to any one. Steer clear if you need a doctor that cares about your well being and wants to help you. Or if you want to be treated with any respect.

Not a compassionate or attentive provider - doesn't listen to concerns and help reach solutions. Could not and would not recommend her to anyone...which is a shame. She actually impeded me from getting appropriate care within a reasonable distance from my home but thought that a 40 mins drive was okay. membership services offered to accept the referral to a close specialist but Dr Rumana Shameem refused to submit one on my behalf. I would suggest finding a provider that listens to your concerns
