Wonderful Doctor
Being an anxiety ridden patient as I am and the concern I had of getting a cortisone shot in my wrist I was so lucky to have Dr Lafrance. He was very calming and excellent at administering the shot. I highly recommend him for your orthopaedic needs . Thanks again !

Dr LaFrance should be reminded people deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. Searching him I see there are many people who had the same awful experience with him that I did. I would never recommend him to anyone. I don’t know if he’s a good surgeon, but I do know he’s a terrible human being.

I am extremely frustrated. He was disinterested in my care. He was very quick. and then dismissed my issue. Waited two months to see a specialist, all for nothing. Maybe if I were a male he would have treated my differently.

I saw LaFrance 2 or 3 times for an injury I sustained at work. He couldn't have been more disinterested if he tried. He almost immediately referred me to a surgeon in Syracuse without so much as an MRI. It was only there that I was ordered an EMG that showed I had frayed 2 nerves going to my Trapezius. I stopped going to him when his PA suggested an MRI, but he wouldn't sign off on it, instead just referred me to the Surgeon. He couldn't be bothered to even attempt to find out the extent of my injury. To this day I am still experiencing terrible nerve pain in my trapezius that I just deal with because I really don't know where to go with this. Obviously, NOT an Orthopedic.

My son is a Colgate student. We felt very fortunate to have such an excellent surgeon right in Hamilton. He did a great job with a very complicated collarbone break. He is also very good at explaining the situation

I visited Dr. LaFrance for knee pain. Despite having a proof that my pain is real, he insisted that it's just in my head & I don't know how to manage pain. He said that I'm not doing anything to help my knees..such as? He didn't explain my MRI and X-ray results & was sarcastic when I asked questions. After, he questioned what I wanted to do about my knees as if I'm the doctor. I saw a doctor at Genesee Ortho hours later who actually helped me determine my REAL issues & began treatment right away

Dr. LaFrance surgically repaired my rotator cuff, bicep, shaved my shoulder in one surgery. A year later cleaned out my knee via meniscus repair. He is an excellent surgeon. He takes the time to do a thorough evaluation and provide options (not always surgical). His follow-up care is excellent. I highly recommend Dr. LaFrance not only because of his excellent level of care but because he will be very frank in ensuring you do your part in your recuperation and therapy. Thank you Dr. LaFrance.
