Office problem
Reading progress notes on the portal after our visit I found the physician had written that I came in to his office 10 minutes late. Actually I got to the office early, but there were three people at the reception desk with one person trying to take care of them. Another was discussing a personal experience. I could get nowhere near the desk. I took my walker and sat down. Finally I was called in. If the physician thought I was late, he could have politely mentioned it to me before he documented this. Also i had been hospitalized with a serious illness and I was uncomfortable with the hospital physician. He refused my request for a referral to another dr who was recommended, saying I should see the hospital dr.. I didn’t need a referral but made the request out of courtesy to him. So I just self referred. I was very disappointed. He was not required to refer, but that was disconcerting. Ethically one has the right to choose one’s physician. He is though clinically a good physician.

Excellent! I liked him. He is intelligent. He spoke well and was not rushed. His office staff seemed efficient. Wait time was minimal. I am a new patient but, so far, feel that I made the correct choice.

Great bed side manner, Keeps his scheduled times +/- 10 minutes, answers emails quickly, gives me the feeling he knows what he's doing and enjoys his work.
