Dr. Russell Vanderwilde, MD

20 years ago Dr. Vanderwilde operated on my right shoulder (torn rotator cup, torn labrum) and did a great job. Fast forward another 11 years and he wouldn't even schedule a consultation when I needed an operation on my left shoulder, which was a more complicated injury. Turns out Dr. Vanderwilde doesn't give a damn about patients who might dent his success ratio. He's a glaring example of how the American health care system fails in its responsibility of providing adequate medical care without erecting unecessary barriers to entry.

Dr. Vanderwilde did a rebuild in my shoulder including four implants with Kevlar elements in 2015. Still completely symptom free. I consider him a miracle worker!

This practice is outstanding. Have been treated wonderfully and all my issues have been resolved with their help. Can't go wrong working with this group. They're compassionate, professional, caring, trustworthy and just a class act all the way around.

Dr VanderWilde has treated both a knee and shoulder. I feel he is excellent communicator which is most important to me. I want to be informed of not only the issue I am having but what are my choices and options. He has done knee surgery on my knee and a shot for calcium in my shoulder. Both treatments were successful. I also had Jason who works with him and he is also excellent. I would recommend them to everyone I know who needs this specialty

I totally trust his professional assessment of my orthopedic condition and his surgical skill in addressing it. I must. I keep returning. I have had arthroscopic left shoulder surgery (five anchors), a right knee replacement, and left knee scope . And I really test his work (crossfit, hiking, biking, handball), which seems to be holding up much better than my original equipment!

I was taken to the room, almost immediately after checking in, didn't even get to fill the forms out. I had questions, I wanted to ask, but didn't need to since he explained EVERYTHING and drew picture so that I would understand. He listened to my concerns and answered them all. He wasn't just cordial, but had a genuine warm, caring demeanor. If I ever have need of his services, I would not hesitate to see him again.
