My father and I were both patients for many years as Dr Forbess built his reputation and following here. Remained a dedicated patient and had nothing but kind words for good doctor and his practice here in Orange Beach. While a likeable person and doctor, not really was ever that remarkable. Now he’s deemed himself an MDVIP? Based on what criteria? And now we have the privilege of being able to continue our patient doctor relationship with just a simple quarterly payment of $500 plus? Over $2000 yearly!!!!!???? Absolutely ridiculous. This guy clearly overvalues himself as a doctor. This is a tight knit community, Ryan Forbess should be ashamed of himself. Do everyone a favor and take your practice to another town.

While I understand the doctor’s transition to a more profitable approach to patient care, it’s disappointing to be told that due to the change effective at the end of the month “we will not be able to refill the prescription that you’re out of because you’ve not signed up for the new program”. I have always had very good experiences with Dr. Forbess until now. I am very disappointed that, as a patient, my health is not as important as profit. I’ll find a new doctor and hopefully will be fine without my medication until I do but I would recommend that if you are looking for a physician that is genuinely invested in your health, look elsewhere. Thank you.

Sitting in his office now where I have been for 1 hour 44 minutes and still waiting to be seen!

Why would you have to make a return visit to get your blood work report two weeks later? And if that report was very abnormal, why weren’t you called before the two weeks appt??? They need to at least put in a portal, ,so at the very least the patient can see the report at their results.

Both my husband an myself had to call and chase over & over again to get blood work results. Extremely unorganized & very unprofessional. We're going elsewhere now!

I went in for the establishment visit today at 9am. I gave my paperwork to the receptionist. She said I needed my labs done. I informed her I had not fasted. I asked her specifically if I need to go to the back since I had not fasted. She told me I was done and I needed to come back at least 5 days before my next visit for my blood work. I asked if I needed to set up another appointment to get my labs and she said come anytime. I asked her again" are you done with me", she said yes and I told her I would see her at 8am the next morning. I got all call at 10am asking if I was still in the office. I told her no, that she told me I was done. She said sorry for the misunderstanding and I needed another establishment appointment since I did go to the back to meet the doctor. I asked if she could asked to have this waved and she said No, I had to schedule another appointment before I could get my physical completed. I asked her to talk to Doctor since he has been seeing me 5 yrs. Answer No

Hard to get an appointment time. Some referrals are never completed. Doctor does not look professional when he sees patients.

I was been a patient of dr Forbess since he opened his practice in orange beach. He was pleasant and listened, at first. I am on disability for mental health. He refused to treat me or much less listen to me since his practice has grown. He can be gruff, unyielding and I chose to seek more care in the way of a family physician than he seemed he wished to provide.

Solid professional care, caring attitude, takes time for you

I am very happy with Dr Forbess and his staff. Dr Forbess is friendly, receptive, understanding, reassuring, and very knowledgeable. His office is clean and well organized, and I can get appointments in a timely manner. His staff is respectful and helpful.

Had blood work done. Based on results, I go every week to get a vitamin B shot to get my energy level up. Has worked so far. Dr. Forbess deals with any issues immediately, whether it's blood work or getting a prescription. Prescriptions are always called in the same day. Staff is also helpful and professional.

Dr. Forbess very personal and caring. Will take care of you and if some reason he can't he will direct you to a professional who can.

No prescriptions ready when offered. No person al care

very Rude stuff , I am sick today and they cancel my appointment which was make a week ago and told me go and find an other doctor, now the new primary care will take me a month to got an appoitment .How you can provide the medical license for that guys. ,it is ridiculous ,ridiculous.

Talks about your concerns, but never orders the tests or sends you to the results if they get them. Was supposed to have an appt with a cardiologist and his assistant calls to set up an appointment for a cat scan? We never even talked about that. Can never get a call back from the office when you call.

Very understanding and listen's to patient's concern's. Timely at seeing the patient and has a excellent nurse to assist him with his patient workload. The staff as a whole is wonderful to deal with and very friendly. Something this world has lost in the past. Bill G. AKA-Pain in the butt patient.
