Dr. Ryan Gleason, MD

My wife was seen by Dr. Gleason for multiple visits. Dr. Gleason is always willing to spend the time with his patients. However, this time did not always mean listening. If you have a very traditional, well-known neurological disorder then I think Dr. Gleason is a great option and you will be very happy with the healthcare you receive. However, if you have a nuanced case where you need a provider to truly consider your symptoms, experience of what is occurring and work with you to find a diagnosis then I recommend looking elsewhere. Furthermore, when asking for a referral to a more specialized, university-health system our request was rejected. Fast forward 4-months and now my wife is being seen by the right doctors she needs at UPenn, but this care was significantly delayed because of Dr. Gleason who informed my wife that she simply has untreated anxiety. Needless to say, this was not the case. This case and countless others is an unfortunate example of what happens way too often in our healthcare.

He reviewed my MRI with me & my husband and explained it to us. He had thoroughly reviewed the MRI before our arrival and shared his findings with us. He then asked if we wanted a written copy of those findings which have been very helpful for research and follow-up with other health care providers.
