Highly recommend
He has GREAT bedside manners. He is very soft spoken and shows empathy to his patients. I was recently diagnosed with Basil Cell skin cancer. No one wants to hear the C word. When he was explaining to me what this means and the next steps I will be going through, he made me feel very calm and I didn’t feel panicked. My daughter also sees him for her acne and has had great success with her treatment.

Wonderful Experience!!
I have been a patient for a few years and can honestly say I am very pleased! From the pleasant office experience to the friendly staff, I continue to enjoy the exposure. Dr. Matherne is quite knowledgeable and takes his time in both sharing information as well as answering any/all questions posed. I visited at least two other dermatologists, one who said he didnt know what he could offer me (I'm African American) before being referred by a trusted friend to Dr. Matherne. I can say with much confidence and appreciation, that I continue to be in very good hands!! I highly recommend this office.

I was billed way after my visit and they wouldn’t take my insurance because it was too late. I was stuck with huge bill. (It was a referral I assumed her primary Dr gave her insurance info when they did not as for it) My daughter went in with a problem on her back and all he wanted to do is look at her face. Awful experience.
