Dr. Sagar Ranka, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Ranka for some time. The sense I get from him is that he really cares about his patients, at least he does about me. Very approachable and he listens. So many doctors don’t really listen to their patients concerns but he does and he takes these concerns seriously. I have absolute trust in the treatment advice care I receive from him. He is one of the best physicians I’ve ever dealt with.

While Dr. Ranka was very kind and easygoing, I can't say I was satisfied with my visit. I was called to come in early, so I left my house and headed over, and when I was brought back into the exam room, he was late for the appointment. I had brought a detailed log of my heart rate and what happened at that moment to affect it that I was told to keep by my primary doctor, and when I mentioned it, it was completely ignored. Multiple details in my patient summary were inaccurate, such as why I was taken off my previous heart medication. When I read the appointment notes, it mentioned that I was given pamphlets that I was never provided with and that we discussed ways to lower my cholesterol, which we didn't do either. He was in there for about fifteen minutes, looked at my EKG, and then told me I could go. On my way to checkout, he told the staff to schedule me for an echo, which wasn't something we discussed nor a procedure he explained to me.
