My father was admitted to St. Joseph's North under the care of Dr. Oruganti. My father is unable to communicate due to his advanced alzheimer's dementia and so my sister is the legal guardian for his medical decision making. My sister attempted to speak with him numerous times remotely since she lives far away and the doctor never once reached out to her to find out my father's medical history or to inform of his treatment plan. Decisions were made without our knowledge and approval. After complaining to the nurse in charge twice days later, he finally contacted me later that evening. There was children screaming in the background when he contacted me so I did not have his full and undivided attention. Our phone call was interrupted twice. I informed him how disappointed I was with his and the nursing staff lack of communication and will be filing a complaint with the medical board.

My father was admitted to the hospital w-severe chest, neck, jaw & head pain. He is a complicated patient as he also has several AI diseases. Dr. Oruganti was my dad's Hospitalist. From the moment he walked into the room, his demeanor was defensive & he treated us as if we were idiots. He did not have my father's full background, gave us wrong info about his diagnosis, was not interested in addressing our questions & was completely rude to our family. Extremely unprofessional.

My sister is currently in-patient at York Hospital. Dr. Oruganti is her hospitalist and has coordinated a very comprehensive team approach to stabilize her and treat her. She has a pretty complicated health issue and for approximately 9 months her heart has bounded at a super fast rate ( 120--140 per minute) and we have tried to have her team of physicians address the etiology of it and treat it or at least attempt to treat it but my requests were generally over-looked. Dr. Oruganti addressed it

Dr. Oruganti is very condescending and rude to both his patient and their family. He is never fully paying attention when the patient is asking questions and acts as if it is too much of a bother to be in the room answering questions. Constantly yawning and paying more attention to his phone than to the person speaking. When he does respond, he talks as if the person receiving the information is stupid. Very unprofessional.
